Mole Country Stores - Lymington

Convenient but quite expensive

My first visit to Mole for fuel for the Rayburn. On leaving the store I realised I had been charged for 4 10 Kilo bags instead of 4 20 Kilo bags. I returned to the checkout, queued a second time, and explained what had happened. Did I expect some kind of response? Well, yes, actually. What did I get? Absolutely nothing. No ‘Sorry about that’ or ‘ Thank you for coming in and paying the difference’. £27. Or even a smile. Just surly silence from the young lady at the till as she processed the payment. Come on Mole. You can do better than this. I could just have driven home and said nothing.

Helpful staff, pallets outside need price labels on, like to know the prices before I buy so no unexpected shocks at the till.

First n last visit to Lymington Branch today. Total waste of time.The girl on the till wasnt very polite either!!

A good range but runs out of stock frequently. Depends which staff members you get as to how helpful they are (or want to be). Prices are average for the market they're in. A relatively small store in comparison to others but has most of the basics. Would prefer a better customer service standard across the board so I feel more confident asking for help or advice rather than hoping a select two or three staff are in!

Almost always have everything you want/need. Staff very friendly, and even with recent increase in prices w/ inflation isn't extortionately priced.

Very small so for more choice choose a bigger store like Romsey. Also had people collecting for charity at the door which really makes you feel pressured into giving. Nobody carries change these days so all a bit pointless for them.
