Ironbridge Furniture LTD T/A The Ironbridge Gift Emporium

After a promising start with great, friendly customer service over the phone yesterday, things declined rapidly. I called today to pick up a Buddha statue that my partner had spotted last week and I hoped to surprise him with it as a gift for his birthday. The inexperienced shop assistant got the item out of the box for me to check and I was happy at that point with my purchase. The young lady then lifted the rather heavy and cumbersome statue back into the box, behind the counter, whilst I counted out the £75 from my wallet. I left the shop, walked the short distance to my car, popped the box in the boot of my car, and travelled uneventfully home. When I got the Buddha out of the box and the packaging, I noticed then that his knee and elbow were damaged, with loose fragments of fibreglass hanging and amongst the packaging. I immediately phoned the shop and the assistant placed me in contact by text, to the manager (her mother). She asked for photos and I obliged, explaining the situation. Her response was to send me CCTV footage of me checking the item on the shop counter and therefore concluding that I must have left the shop with the item intact, later causing the damage by “rattling it around in my car”! Despite my assurance that this didn’t happen, and my suggestion that perhaps the damage could have been caused out of sight of the CCTV footage shown to me, when the girl lifted the Buddha to the floor, I was simply told to repair the damage myself and that her assistant was upset at being accused. I pointed out that I was also upset at now having spent £75 on an item that was effectively wasted as it was not worthy of being a birthday gift. I ceased conversation by text through sheer frustration and despair at the reluctance to even accept that there was a possibility that that damage had been caused whilst lowering the statue into the box. Poor customer service, in my opinion, and a very defensive attitude.

Superb service and products. We were not totally sure from the web site that the record trunk was what we wanted so decided to take a trip down to Ironbridge and possibly pick it up from the shop. Adrian was helpful on email and suggested a call directly to the shop. Natalie advised the trunk was not in stock but would have one in the next morning for us. Sure enough when we arrived Natalie had 2 waiting as they all had unique character. After choosing, Natalie wrapped it whilst we had a wander around Ironbridge and we threw it in the boot on the way past the shop homeward bound. Luckily it was well wrapped and survived my driving all the way back home. Thanks a lot to all and we will probably return for a second unit once this one is full.

Gorgeous sturdy classic furniture and incredible customer service! I ordered a desk and dining table with chairs and I am in love with the Mantis Mango set! Would definitely buy from Ironbridge Furniture again as the owners Adrian and Nicki were lovely and super helpful even when I was messing them about a bit with my indecision! Communications were top notch and all bases were thought through in terms of delivery. Really well packaged pallet and clear instructions made everything pain free :) minimal build required which only adds to my love of the set - quality hardwood. Theresa in the shop was also really lovely when I spoke to her on the phone and went the extra mile to text me additional photos to ensure i could see the dining table alongside the chairs. Really great small business and would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone considering! :) Thank you very much!!

I purchased a six seater dining table four chairs and bench in January 2016 and am chuffed to bits with the whole process, the quality of the furniture is top class with a lovely rustic finish , it totally transformed our dining room. The delivery was faultless and the company communications were spot on.. I would thoroughly recommend buying goods from this company..

Really annoyed and spoilt what was a nice relaxing day. Purchased a candle holder that was made up of 2 parts. Clearly they were made for each other. The glass section fitting into the wooden holder. I paid for the item and advised I would collect it on our way back through the village. Upon collection was advised that actually the Base was to be paid for as a separate item. Clearly they were a set and could not be split so why would you buy the bottom without the top section !!!! Fuming . Was just ripping off.

Great customer service and amazing quality products.Out of interest, I have seen the CCTV referred to in the 1 star review posted below, and I can confirm that the young lady working in the shop did not damage the item when she replaced it into the box. It is a very heavy item, and had she have dropped it this would have been obvious from the angle of CCTV.The customer clearly checks the item all over before it is placed back in said box, and in fact leans over the counter whilst counting her money to watch the young lady putting it in the box.This is quite clearly a customer who is just 'trying her luck' to get her money back for an item she doesn't want to take responsibility for breaking, yet obviously has low enough morals to try and defraud a small business, and to refer to the young lady as 'inexperienced' is actually rather insulting and would no doubt cause her confidence to be knocked.If anyone else wants to see the CCTV, out of curiosity, I suggest you contact the business owner as there is not an ounce of truth in this person's review and to be honest they should be ashamed of themselves. I dont normally get involved in rubbish like this but on this occasion I felt compelled to.

An interesting furniture and homewares shop. Much of the furniture is attractive mango wood, and there are plenty of Christmas decorations available. Prices are high, but this reflects the quality of the products.

I recently saw a piece of furniture on Ironbridge website which I fell in love with. Unfortunately when I went to buy it, it was sold. I contacted Ironbridge and they thankfully had 1 last piece in stock which they insisted on checking and sending me pictures before purchase. Not only did I get an amazing piece of furniture but also it was delivered quickly and with great customer service. I will definitely be buying from Ironbridge again. Superb quality & great price! A very happy customer!
