Fantastic made to measure frame for fragile burnt cardboard painting,so pleased with how it looks ..Always so helpful and friendly.

Staff all really helpful-just starting to learn watercolour paintin-, didnt mind multiple questions, nor did they make me feel stupid at any stage, and where very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.Got some apertures for some pictures for my needle felting, and again staff very helpful on choosing the right size,and colour to make my work look more professional.( actual frames I had at home).

We've known Gadsby's for years and have had many embroideries and prints framed by the Leicester branch, on the Market Place.Always an excellent, professional job is done on everything we've had framed!The staff know what they are doing, which is really important when you want an embroidery mounted and stretched properly.Worth the hour or sos journey and a day in Leicester to bring and collect."

Helpful, not quite got everything I needed but lovely helpful staff

I came in and enquired about a piece of mounting board that I needed, and the lovely lady I spoke to was very helpful, writing down all the different sizes and prices for me so that I could go home and make the decision, no pressure at all. I really felt like she wanted me to make the right choice for what I needed unlike some places that just pressure you for a sale. I rang them after I had made my choice, and a different lady, who was also wonderfully helpful checked they had what I needed in stock. Then when I finally came in to pick up the board that I had chosen, I found that once again - the staff were all very helpful and friendly! The staff all seem to genuinely want to help you find the product that's right for you, and in future if I need other supplies I shall look no further than here!

Love this Shop it's my one stop shop for all my oil and Acrylic paint as we'll as Paint Brushes and Canvases to name just a few items, they have a vast amount of Stock at pretty reasonable Prices, they also sell Paintings from Local Artists as well as Sculptures and other Interesting Pieces, the Top Floor also has a Craft Section where you can buy anything from Glue to semi precious stones and wires to link them all together!! A great Shop with lots to offer so it's a 5 Stars all around!!!!

A very helpful business which is keen to give advice on painting materials and brushes.They have a collection of Ukrainian Rosa water colour pans and tubes which have a strong pigment and are of an excellent quality.

My family have been commissioning Gadsbys to frame pictures since before the Second World War. This includes school, family and sports pictures. I have inherited many of these in the original frames and even now they don't need reframing!Leicester's best framer, no question.

I wish I can give zero stars to this place. Few weeks ago, I gave 4 of my own paintings (2 for framing, 2 for putting glass and white mount) , £343. I have visited this place earlier few times and due to perceived good vibes decided to get my work done here. I thought i found my regular place.They smudged one of my water colour paintings and broke frame of other. What is more disappointing is that the owner didn’t even take responsibility rather dishonestly tried to shove things under the carpet and divert the complaint and making me look like I am falsely complaining and it was already there. The response of owner when showed the smudge over my painting, “never had complaint in 40 years” . Totally nonsense and irrelevant. “was it not already there” . Upon asking regarding crack in frame, “it was weak and fell apart”. So it broke during putting glass. They changed the frame saying “it was a big order” Like he is doing me a bloody favour. I strongly believe this place has prejudgements and this behaviour was driven by seeing a person of different colour .What inconvenience this shop caused in beyond words, I had to go back to my home and redo my painting smudged part and reframe it. Even till end this place didn’t accept their mistake and neither a decent human manner to apologise even once. Shameful. I am never stepping at this place again and will not recommend this place at all. No good wishes for you. I will let it go for my mental peace.Reply: What goes around will come around.
