Friendly staff. The selection of cakes and tray bakes is really good. I had the tea cake slice and it was amazing.

This is quite a nice cafe but they have put their prices up quite a bit recently and in my opinion it's a bit of a rip offWe had a couple of breakfasts, think it was 12 odd quid each. Even a sandwich is about £8. They've done away with their soup and a sandwich deal so now if you want that it's £5 for soup and then an extra £8 for a sandwich. It's more like hotel prices than a wee local cafe.We used to go quite a lot but won't be going back, it's just too expensive, although i appreciate their costs may have gone up and they have to charge what they do to make ends meet.

Salty Dog Cafe
A great little independent coffee shop that's dog and people friendly! Opens when others are often shut. One of the few places in Lochgilphead that does a sit down fried breakfast. I just had an oat milk flat white, and a great chat with the owner while I was waiting for my car.

At 09.41a woman came out of the cafe and locked the front door and drove off in a car. So no breakast for me and just had to make this review. The cafe doesn't deserve the 1 star.

Very busy little café with a good range of home cooked food. Given the limited other options in the area it's a 4/5 it is somewhat pricey and due how busy it is and the food being freshly made there is a wait to be served.

We are very lucky to have the Salty Dog Cafe in Lochgilphead! Everything about the cafe is amazing, not one negative at all! The food, service, prices, staff, and atmosphere is top notch!

Salty Dog Cafe
A nice little spot to grab a coffee and a treat out of the wind. Coffee tastes good they had a great selection of treats, that we took a couple away with us for our boys. Had a very nice bacon sandwich in a soft roll.

amazing little cafe, dogs allowed but we didn’t bring ours in, the food was on the pricey side but other than that, delicious! i had a square sausage and fried egg roll and it was a deliciously cooked egg and tasty sausage, on a fat roll. but, the star of the show, thr traybake, there was a good selection of tray bakes, (6-7) and i had the biscoff tray bake, and, o.m.g, it was Amazing! well done salty dog, great staff and food.
