Derby Urgent Treatment Centre

There's a very small (usually full) car park - otherwise park in the nearby main hospital car park and walk (approx 500m).I had an appointment booked (because I called 111, and they sent me to the urgent care centre) so I was seen within half an hour of arriving but without an appointment,the wait looked like about two hours. The care I received was thorough and courteous - that part of the visit (the bit that matters) was very good.

I went there today 14-11-23 for a triple A screening I parked on the main car park Florence Nightingale entrance, I walked around to the centre by Osmaston Rd. I waited probably ten minutes then had my screening dealt with by a two very nice lady's, afterwards one of the lady's pointed me in the direction of an entrance door that leads to the main corridor of the hospital walked past the blood test department, outside I scanned my parking ticket and it was a free stay. A brilliant experience all in all.

I'm delighted to share my experience at Urgent Treatment Derby. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by their professionalism and efficiency. Despite arriving at 8:30, I was sorted out in less than an hour, which was incredibly reassuring. The staff were not only polite and friendly but also highly knowledgeable, making me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Brought my son here on the 11/12/2023 for an appointment at 12:10am it’s now 01:09am and still not been seen . The reception bloke keeps disappearing my question is what happens if there is an emergency in the waiting area and there’s no professional to assist? No alarm for anyone to press to alert staff , there’s only one doctor on and it’s notGood enough!

I have absolutely no complaints about my visit here this morning. The entire process from ringing 111 to seeing a GP was easy and stress free. I really couldn’t have had a kinder and more thorough Doctor. He asked lots of questions, did lots of checks and made me feel at ease and well listened to. Thank you for such a good experience.

Bloods: They usually struggle to put your blood in the right colour bottle or read the form correctly. Now they no longer operate a walk-in service, this does not surprise me as they usually clock out early at 6:35pm despite operating till 7pm. They've also disconnected the swift queue machine and put a sign up to say it's only to be used for pre-booked appointments.Urgent care: Go see your Nan or a neighbour. It's about the same level of care.

I cannot praise the staff at this Centre enough, I was seen and helped in 20 minutes. Thank you to the Two ladies at Reception for you kindness and pleasant attitude. A big thank you to Steve the Triage nurse who saw me an put my mind and worries at rest. A very kind and truly caring experience...Thank you all again.

I went today as my doctors had no appointments but could make me an appointment at the walk in centre. I am a very anxious person and have had bad experiences with medical professionals, so I was very worried about going. All staff treated me with kindness and understanding. I appreciate it more than they will ever know. Genuinely the best experience I've ever had in a medical environment. Thank you so much!

This past weekend, my girlfriend called 911 after increasingly concerning symptoms regarding a herniated disc.The GP on callback booked an appointment at DUTC for a physical assessment, review of medication and possible ambience.When we arrived the staff were friendly and we were seen within 45 minutes of arriving, however..The nurse seeing us for the appointment did no physical examination, no reflex checks eyc, even after the mention of a few red flag symptoms, and after learning of my girlfriemds role as a medical professional, she asked what medicines she would advise and want prescribed.This resulted in another 24 hours of constant pain where the following day we had to call an absence to be taken to Royal Derby Hospital.Doing the bare minimum is not good enough. This was out first experience of the unit and I can't say it was a good one.
