MALVERN HILLS - The Oaks Holiday Cottage

A wonderful place to stay in a truly beautiful part of the country. I stayed in The Oaks at Grounds Farm for the weekend and it can safely be said that this place is a treasure. The drive up to the holiday cottages is a stunning backdrop of the Malvern Hills, only to be topped by the placement of the farm at the foot of the hills themselves. Opening the door in the morning to the sounds of the countryside and only a moments walk from the hills themselves. Some beautiful scenery both in and around the farm.The Oaks were fantastically furnished with a modern, homely, and cozy feel to them. A spacious cooking and dining area with a social room just next door. Possibly the comfiest bed and pillows I've ever had the opportunity to sleep in, and an incredibly relaxing shower to come back to after a lovely day walking!The Owners are on site, unbelievably friendly and welcoming. They provided everything needed for a relaxing weekend away, and were just wonderful to speak to. Giving some brilliant advice and directions regarding the walks, with a detailed knowledge of all the hidden gems in the area like the Ruffz cafe near Swinyard car park and hill, and the Ridge Walk (south to north)!All in all, no better place to stay when visiting the Malvern Hills and no better company to keep!

As soon as we walked through the front door of The Oaks cottage we were blown away by the property. The rooms are clean, spacious and welcoming and there were so many little extras like books, DVDs and board games that made us feel very at home.The large garden was perfect for our dog to run about, she loved lying outside the living room looking out over the beautiful farmland.Claire was a wonderful host. Ahead of our arrival she was in touch to give recommendations on places to eat nearby and let us know that the Malvern Food Festival was on the weekend of our trip which we might have missed otherwise. There was also a great welcome info pack with details of local pubs and maps of walking paths so we could get our bearings.We can't wait to return and have already recommended Grounds Farm to friends and family.

We had a lovely weekend at the Oaks cottage Grounds Farm. The dog loved the big enclosed garden while the older members were happy there were no stairs. But I loved the views and the quiet most of all. Different colour towels for each person was a nice touch.

We stayed in The Oaks Cottage at Grounds Farm in June 2022 and had a wonderful time. The accommodation was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean. Amazing views and lovely walks. Claire the owner was friendly, kind and very helpful with suggestions. We would highly recommend this venue as a relaxing, peaceful, country break and would definitely come back for another holiday here.

The Oaks is a beautiful cottage. It’s spacious , tastefully furnished and in a stunning location .The enclosed garden is a real bonus . We stayed with our 2 doggies who loved the garden , the swing ball and the fallen pears from the tree !It’s in a great location for visiting Malvern , Upton upon Severn and surrounding villages . Great for exploring the Malvern hills .Claire , the host , was friendly and engaging would definitely recommend.

This place is an absolute gem! We stayed for 4 nights and I can't recommend it enough. From the moment you go through the farm gate you enter a beautiful and peaceful environment. The farm, cottages and surrounding buildings and countryside are simply stunning. The cottage is spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped, has comfortable beds and the private garden is amazing. We were blessed with good weather so we're able to make full use of it. There are many many walks right on your doorstep and we clocked up many miles whilst we were there! Claire and Don were perfect hosts. There if we needed anything but left us to enjoy our holiday. Thank you to you both, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future ☺.

This is a gem of a place to stay. We stayed in The Oaks cottage within the Grounds Farm. As soon as we drove into the gate we were taken away by the scenery. The grounds of the farm are beautiful and you get a real taste of the country life, beautiful views all around, sheep grazing on the hills, horses in the paddock.We were personally welcomed by the owners, Claire and Don soon after we arrived which was a nice touch. They also left some essentials on our arrival to the cottage, bread, butter, jam, eggs, milk, tea and coffee, which was a pleasant surprise.It was a very relaxing retreat for us, just what our family was looking for. The cottage is very well equipped, with a great kitchen, large living room, powerful shower ( big bonus in my opinion!) in the bathroom, lots of board games to play in the evening and we love a jigsaw!There are some lovely walks/ hikes into the Malvern Hills on the doorstep or a short drive away. Equally beautiful to stay at the property and enjoy the views and huge garden, our dog loved it too!We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in The Oaks and it was superb! Claire was amazing, was there if we needed her but left us to it when needed too. The place where we stayed was stunning; very spacious, clean, beds comfy. Just beautiful. Dog friendly, and the walks were fantastic too. We have two golden retrievers and they had a blast.They also allowed my step-daughter to see the horses and the sheep on the farm; she was so happy. Very nice thing for them to do. Will definitely be returning, can't wait to go back :)Highly recommend.
