Enjoyable walk along the yellow route with my dogs. Loads of benches and picnic tables for stops. Good path and great views. Don't forget to take £4 for parking (all day, £1 for an hour) as there is no contactless payment and the phone coverage is so poor I couldn't use the RingGo App.

Great trails for cycling and walking; worth the £3 all-day parking ticket to park at the main car park nearest the dam, with toilet facilities at the trail head near Duncarron. We enjoy a 10km hike from the main car park west along the loch side and back, with it's great views across the water to Meikle Bin and surrounding hills. A wonderful place to spot wildlife too; on this visit we watched a pair of osprey hunting over the water, young buzzards soaring above the woods, and a range of other birds and insects on the trails.

This is my usual stopping point after the first uphill section, this is one of the best view points of the cycle track however if you head up meikle bin way there are many higher points which overlook the car on valley reservoir. Excellent for beginner cyclists to understand different terrain types, rocks, mud, tree roots this place has it all. The downhill section at the end (to the east of map) will certainly take a few goes at it before you can commit fully but can be taken at full speed or at leisurely pace. This one of my favourite tracks and I always return here to sharpen up and build up stamina with the uphill sections. Fantastic for all levels and I find the tracks at there best when they are wet, or the day after rain. But when super dry (not very often in scotland) I always slide about all over the place, that's maybe just me but still, worth a mention just in case lol. Z.

Beautiful place for an hour walk. Nice level with little climb . Haven't been all the way around I went to the first viewpoint . Tried to go around the coast of the water, but wellies are required. There is a gravel path away from the water . Dogs welcome off lead, but be respectful of others on lead ! Beautiful place for a nice little walk

Lovely, long and gentle walk along the side of the Loch. We spent a couple of hours walking the path all the way out to the picnic table at the end of the trail. The cycle paths are separate so we were able to have the dog off the lead the whole time. He had a play in the water too. No particularly steep or tricky bits. Toilets at the car park too.

Great alternative to 7 Stanes only 30 minutes from Glasgow. Short but exciting descents especially Runway. More suitable for experienced riders with proper MTBs. You'll probably need a few laps to make the most of the descents. Definitely retuning soon.

A good set of MTB trails suitable for all levels and abilities. You can stick to the main paths if you want but the runs are good fun and not so busy that you can't pull over to allow faster cyclists past at safe spaces. You really do need a mountain bike for the area though as you would not have the best experience on a gravel bike.Trails are very close to the main car park. Car park used to be paid at meter before lockdown but has been free since lockdown. I don't know how long that will last. There can be walkers and dogs on the main paths so be considerate. There are quite a few benches and tables near the trails to stop for a quick bite to eat. Attached pic is a bench on the Cannonball run. From the look of it some cyclists have gone up Mekle Bin the noted hill in the area. I wouldn't recommend cycling the hill as it will just tear up the ground. Stick to the main gravel tracks and MTB Trails and you will have a nice time.

Nice walking and mountain bike trails in the woodland. Car park is paid, toilets are available. Even a coffee van in car park. Some nice views over the reservoir.

Took my son biking there having been there years ago. It is all a bit overgrown. The trails are rideable, could do with some maintenance. And the fort thing was closed. We did look for a money tree to help. Will go back though, there are biking trails that suit my 9 year old son.
