Steve did a great job working on our house. He listens to what is asked and comes up with alternative suggestions on how to realise the final solution. Excellent workmanship. Highly recommended

I have used Steve on a number of occasions for carpentry work, He is a perfectionist in what he does and also provides great advice when in the design stage. I would not hesitate in recommending Steve as his skills are second to none and a very nice person.

Absolutely superb carpenter. He really cares about his craft. Massive attention to detail. Also a really lovely conscientious person. He's happy to take on smaller jobs as well as really complex projects. Best carpenter I've ever used, by a long way. Highly, highly recommended.

As a retired Trading Standards Officer, I don’t normally give reviews but I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Steve to anyone who wants very high quality work and superb carpentry. He has built a wonderful wooden balcony across the whole front of our house, replaced roof beams, kitchen roof, ceiling joists and built a number of stud partition walls. He has also replaced our awkwardly shaped detached garage roof in its entirety. He has now returned to install a brilliantly designed and absolutely solid decking framework over a large deep gap in our back garden area. Don’t go anywhere else.

Steve is great. He has done a range of carpentry jobs for me and I'll certainly ask him back for more projects - if I can get him! Careful and methodical yet swift and efficient. Not only do the results look excellent but you know that the preparation and hidden bits have also been done to the highest standard. Thoroughly recommended.

I can strongly recommend Steve to anyone needing a very skilled and competent carpenter. Steve had a brief to rebuild a wooden lean to the rear of my property and the project evolved as it went along to create an excellent insulated room with polycarbonate roof and shiplap to the outside. Steve made suggestions as the build progressed and was happy to include and interpret my ideas and input at all stages. His work and attention to detail is excellent and he is a very nice person to work with.

We asked Steve to inspect a timber suspended ground floor in our property in Polperro following a full building survey which suggested that the floor structure was defective. Steve visited our property within days of our initial contact with him and provided a comprehensive report free of charge. We were so impressed with Steve's responsiveness and his punctuality that we immediately engaged him to carry out remedial works.All works have been carried out by Steve and his colleague to the highest possible standard and in a manner which is sympathetic to the character and age of our cottage. Steve has been most helpful throughout and we would not hesitate to engage him again for any carpentry work we need in future!
