The Wansbeck Launderette

Recently had a duvet washed here and I won’t be a repeat customer. When I dropped the duvet off the lady I spoke to said it would cost around £10. When I returned to pick it up, she then said she thought it would be £20 and they didn’t accept card. Due to no nearby cash machine this meant my journey in the rain with a baby was wasted. I said I would be back later that day with cash and then returned at 3.50 the same day. The premises was locked despite having a closing time of 4. Another wasted journey in the rain with a baby. Finally picked up and paid £18. The duvet doesn’t even seem that clean - the laundrette itself looks disorganised and dirty as well as having a strong smoky smell. Despite an initial pleasant smell on my duvet a few hours later it just smells smoky. I won’t be using this launderette again.

Absolutely outstanding customer service! We went in with 3 loads and we're done an hour later. He even offered to put our loads in the dryer if we had somewhere to be for an hour. We paid him all at once at the end for all our loads and soap. Would definitely recommend!!!

Sadly there isn’t any regulation on launderettes. This place does not do a good wash; you’ve been warned.

Excellent service. Took a duvet in for cleaning. It was ready when staff said it would be. It was was neatly bagged up in a laundry bag ready for collection all for £13! Great value, great staff. Will use again. Well done.
