Toby Carvery Stafferton Lodge
We 3 OAPs had a carvery lunch today. It was very tasty with a plentiful choice of meat and veg which was all fresh and hot. A lovely cheerful man checked our booking on entry and Barbara, our waitress, took care of drinks and food orders. What a friendly, charming, polite and efficient lady. She is a real asset. We were so well looked after on a very busy day in the restaurant. We'll be back.

Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated even though we booked. Then had to queue again for 15+ minutes for carvary.Some staff were rude - most were pleasant though.Ladies toilet dirty and no toilet roll in every cubicle, gents shown in picture. Guess they are not checked often.

Popped into the Toby for lunch with my daughter. We didn't book, but we were offered a table in the bar area, which was fine. There was a good selection. We collected our roast. Everything tasted great. The only complaint was that the dinner was not very warm.

I'm allergic to egg and dairy so dining out can be a little tricky. Our server Cody was wonderful. She took it very seriously and kept me informed on what I could have. Even double checking to be on the safe side. This was a great customer service. She was also lovely and friendly. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because my potatoes were a little cold. Would highly recommend

The food was ok - I am vegetarian and for me, the options here are very limited. Service was excellent. Most disappointing aspect was where we were placed. We were a group of 15 people and I asked the manager one month beforehand for a place where we could have some privacy. He took me to a function room where there was one long table and he said that he would reserve it for us. I even paid upfront the deposit for the meal. When we turned up, we were given 2 tables in the general seating area - I was very disappointed to say the least. It was noisy, we had little privacy and most importantly, our wishes weren’t respected. I will not return here again.

The meal was excellent. The waitress was fantastic. One of the people with me can't walk well and has a cane. She came with me to the Carvery section and got the meal for that gentleman and then carried a plate for my client to help him. She also helped me with my blue light card app as it was having trouble that day.

Treated ourselves to a 2 course Xmas lunch at £13.49 - superb value. Xmas pud was delicious. We are back there next week.Recommended

Lovely lady Chane served me today. She was polite, attentive and very cheerful. Alex, the carver, presented my meal very well. I hope to return to Stafferton Lodge soon.

Absolutely horrible. Order was 1hour later than told. The order was for the wrong meats. Meat is gristley and chewing. No Yorkshire pudding, a few carrots and a pot full of peas. Not worth the money. Left a message for the restaurant to call 4 days later still no call. A reply to my review is even more insulting. Appreciating a review how about putting it right and offer the correct order or a refund.
