I’ve known Ken, Caroline, Jack and Kelly since 2006 when I first bought an investment flat in Norbury via James Alexander’s.Their professional, objective, unhurried, helpful and friendly advice and their impeccable management of the property throughout the years has been invaluable.Obviously, in that length of time problems of various sorts arise, but they’ve all been handled quickly and efficiently. They get repairs done rapidly by competent tradesmen (and at a fair price)to keep tenants happy.I really can’t praise the office enough. I don’t think you’ll get better service in London – you certainly won’t from the big chains.Ken Hume and co. are a rarity.When you come to sell you won’t get unrealistic valuations from a 12-year-old in a call centre miles away designed to reel you in – just an honest appraisal based of the current market in Norbury and the surrounding areas they know so well.We have just completed on the sale of the flat. It was a difficult process legally and took a long time to get through – all for reasons that had nothing to do with Alexander’s. They kept us informed throughout and, possibly more importantly, kept the purchasers on side when exasperation could have set in.I’m deeply grateful to Ken and his team. Go and have a chat with them – even if you’re just starting to think about buying or renting in the area. You won’t be sorry.

Caroline and the team went out of their way to be warm, friendly and helpful throughout the process of buying our property.Communication was great and we received regular updates on how the sale was progressing.They even gave us tips on how to sell our house although it was (unfortunately) listed with a larger more corporate estate agent.If I ever move again, I would definitely choose James Alexander to sell our house. We have used James Alexander first to rent a property and then to buy a flat and in both cases we could rely on them. I finally completed on the Sale of my property on the 5th April 2023 phew (last day of final CGT tax changes before they reduce yayy!!) . The sale was being managed by Jack Bowles, Ken Hume and the rest of the team @James Alexander. Although it was a bit of a rocky road at times but on reflection it took 4 months and a few days to complete. The team worked tirelessly to market it until a buyer was found and for this I am so very grateful. Jack and Ken kept in constant contact with me every step of the way which enabled me to understand what was happening and when my deadline for completion was nearly compromised Jack worked to share information and update me on things even on his day off.
