Coffee here is always nice , I like a oat chai latte or a hazelnut cappuccino.Breakfast is good quality and quite tasty but in my opinion a little overpriced for what you get.The atmosphere is fairly calm and the outside area is fairly well maintained.Coffee seems to take a while to be done however if there's a few of you in although it's good coffee. The lunch menu is nice , but again a little costly. They've a good selection of cakes but the gf and vegan ones sometimes miss the mark but the scones are delicious.Overall a better than average quality produce but could use little tweaks .

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff but the vegetarian grill was meatless but everything was deep fried to death which left me feeling a little queazey. I do think I picked the wrong dish as many of their other dishes looked very good liked the eggs and mushrooms and the avocado on toast with eggs.

This cafe is in the old Orangery at Belper. The refurb has brought back much of the character that was stripped out by McDs.The food was fine - quite tasty but not outstanding. However, the quantity of the portions was not great for the price. The fried halloumi was nice and tasty but there were only a few pieces. The falafel were nice and (I think they were homemade - which is a bonus) but only a few of them. The leaves of the salad were of good variety but they felt a little soft and bland. For the price (£20.05 for what was basically an open wrap, cup of tea, bowl of soup and a glass of orange juice) I felt that it was a little pricy.I really do understand the pressures that small businesses are under at present but overall I felt somewhat underwhelmed.

We had a full Derbyshire, full veggie and a triple cheese sandwich. Stellar! It’s obvious they have legitimate chefs working with the food because it was excellent! Good coffee/tea also!

Lovely afternoon tea! The cafe was really cozy and the food was delicious. We were so full by the time we got to the cakes so we took them away and enjoyed them at home.

Used to frequent the Derby one quite a lot previously, and have now been to the Belper one a few times too. Always find the menu to have good variety and interesting dishes, and the food & coffee has always been very nice every time I've been. Been enjoying the veggie breakfasts recently. It's convenient that you can order via phone with the QR code or via the touch screen, and the service is always very friendly. There's always a nice atmosphere too. Keep up the good work :)

Food portions/quality has gone down. Also very limited vegetarian options. Meal unfortunately ruined by a staff member saying ‘another customer’ had complained about my 1 year old nephew for being too noisy - although he was just trotting about and laughing - not like he was screaming/crying (also had the top floor to ourselves). So we just got our final drinks to go. Once we walked downstairs there were only two tables full. Surprised a cafe produces children’s meals if they do not want children in there.

Excellent service, great food, clean, tidy and we can take the dog if we like. Bonus! Caroline was particularly friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

An hours wait for breakfast today .. no free drinks offered or apology for the wait. Clearly busy but not busier than usual and definitely should’ve been advised of the hours wait for an avocado and egg breakfast
