From the moment we stepped through the door it was an absolute joy and delight.CiCi’s bar had a delightful person called Tom serving us our pre dinner drinks (he gave permission to use his name) he made up a cocktail based upon my tastes. It was perfect and Tom even took the time to write down the recipe!At the allocated time we were escorted down to the restaurant where (do look at the photos) the table was adorned with our personalised menu. I had a birthday card too waiting for me! Very thoughtful. Thank you.Every course and pairing wines (Lauren was our sommelier) were explained to us with wonderful enthusiasm and so very interesting to hear. This was also accompanied by the best music (it could have been our Spotify playlist!)Each member of staff get to pick 10 songs and we get to enjoy listening. Upstairs it is mainly Emma’s choice which is more upbeat.Photos probably don’t do justice to the love care and attention to each creation.When we left we got a Goodie bag with treats.Thank you to the No 6 family.I will always remember this day.

It's no surprise that No6 has a Michelin star, everything about our visit was exceptional.As soon as we walked inside, Jasper greater us with a smile and he, and all the other staff, made us feel so welcome.They left us a card to congratulate our wedding, along with personalised menus, which were a great souvenir.From the first bite to the last, the food was exactly what you would expect. Sensational.My only regret, is that my caveman palette isn't refined enough to truly appreciate some of the more intricate flavour profiles on offer.

This is definitely my favourite restaurant. It was my 2nd time eating here and it was faultless. Paul Ainsworth was even there to serve us some of our courses and he was lovely. The level of detail that goes into every flavour is incredible using local ingredients. Beautiful food and beautifully executed. Such an experience and made our stay in Padstow.

Although we did not eat here we stopped off for drinks in Cicis bar before going on to Caffè Rojano just a short walk away.The bar is located up on the first floor to the front which is cozy and has a lovely laid back atmosphere perfect for an apéritif and I would say digestif although we did not tabd one this time.We ordered a cocktail and glass of champagne after some advice by the really friendly and knowledgeable waiter.The cocktail tasted amazing and I will definitely return and maybe to eat next time for the full Paul Ainsworth experience which is second to none.Totally recommend.

This is our second time here and it was excellent/ exceptional as before !Can’t fault the quality of food / personal attention given / from menus to the service ..!We started with the bar upstairs where we had a cocktail and champagne. The prices are very much central London but expected at a Michelin star restaurant…! The only slight negative I would point out was the old fashioned way as ok and not exceptionally good as I have had in some London bars ..!Set menu was amazing and wine list / selections etc was all awesome..! The food was so delicious and everything was perfect that we wondered if it’s only a matter of time before they get 2 stars :)The scones were delicious with butter ..!Scallops were amazing…& so was pigeon !Verdict - 5/5Budget - easy £200 a head with drinks

A top-notch fine-dining experience in the famous Cornwall town - Padstow.We came Cornwall in the late November for a short holiday and booked a lunch on Tuesday at Paul Ainsworth following the recommendation from the landlord at the cottage we stay. We booked the table 3 weeks ahead of our visit and I would imagine far more ahead will be needed if it’s the summer period.The experience was the best of all of my fine-dining experiences. Every course was carefully crafted and the taste was amazing! Many little surprises that came as treats along the meal, in between courses.The decoration of the restaurant was also amazing. There were only 10-ish tables and all well-spaced out, so you can enjoy your own conversation with full privacy.The service was amazing. We had one staff looking after us throughout the meal, but a few others also check in to make sure we’ve got enough drinks. What I like the most is that the staff really made a good effort to introduce the source of the Ingredients (most of them are locally sourced in Cornwall). Also, really appreciate the staff folded up my napkin every time I left I seat. Just very good service.Their non-alcohol wines - jukes - were great too. Love their wine glasses.Will definitely come back again the next time we visit Cornwall and highly recommend if you like fine-dining experience!!

Ok, so, it's got a Michelin star. Yes, it was the partners' birthday, and it was a night for something special.You will not be disappointed! Sometimes, Michelin stars mean something pretentious and potentially inaccessible. Nothing could be further from the truth for No 6 - it has been a most wonderful, sensory, special and exemplary experience, with attentive staff, and a most wholesome dining experience. A credit to the art of fine, interesting, and different cuisine, and superb hosting. Worth the 300 mile journey alone, but particularly, and most importantly, a lifetime memory.If I get a chance to come back, I'll take a table for the pair of us, again. And again.

High end dining with theatrical service. Intimate dining area with a view of the kitchen. Decor is understated with original modern art. A 9 course lunch with local seafood and other fine local produce. The presentation was excellent and the staff were universally knowledgable and friendly.Highlights were the stuffed morel mushroom, the fried crab, the cheese scone, the smoked scallop, the raw milk sorbet with crumble topping and the rhubarb brioche. Universally delicious and inspired.Big price but worth it, long advanced booking required.

Get ready for the most memorable moments with attention to detail that will delight and inspire your senses as well as blow your mind. The service is exceptional and chefs passion can be seen with every dish. Everything is just perfect and it doesn’t end when the meal is over as apart from personalised menu you have a treat to take away and enjoy later. That’s not the end as the Paul Ainsworth team have selected various tracks on Spotify to continue to enjoy and invoke memories of an amazing experience.
