Medicine at The Crown

Had a food stall outside on the night we visited. A good night out, nice venue.

5 of us went on Saturday night, the service was excellent and the food even better !!!We each had something different, every dish was so tasty. Will definitely be returning soon and would absolutely recommend ⭐️⭐️

Started with high hopes, left disappointed. We waited 30 minutes to order drink, no staff insight so we ordered at the bar. We then waited to place a food order but after still seeing no staff we had to go and track someone down. We ordered starters and mains, waited must have waited over a hour. When the food did arrive our starters came with mains and when asked why? We were told this is how they do things. The food is alright, the only thing I would steer clear of is the fish tacos. They look great but would compare the taste of them to cough mixture. Not great, don’t think we will be going there for food again.

Really nice lunch. The food was great, with nice veggie option. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was delivered promptly. The coffee was to a high standard. The decor is nice. Will definitely come back again. Thanks!

Has improve inside . Not tried the food as yet. But lovley new beer garden.

A disappoiting evening. Starters and mains were great, but then we waited, and waited, and waited. Couldnt catch anyones eye, were never offered more drinks or desserts. We eventually got up and went and asked for the menu. The waitress appeared and told us the kitchen had closed at 8.45. This was disappointing , not least because there was no apology at all. We explained we would have loved both desserts and drinks but noone had offered. The response was we clear the tables and ask then"

Paid £40 in return taxis from Wombourne for me and my wife to try this place as we’ve always enjoyed the breakfasts and cakes at other Medicine locations, but to say we were left disappointed would be an understatement.Food was ok, no way near the standard you would expect from the Medicine brand. It’s trying to sit somewhere between fine dining and pub food but doesn’t get it right at all.We were seated in a large, cold room at the back that had no music and no ambience. At 8pm on a Saturday night you would expect the place to be heaving, but there was only one other table taken up in there.It took 15-20 mins for anyone to take a drinks order which is odd when the place was far from busy.I very much disliked the lack of a printed bill for you to be able to check that you’ve been charged for things correctly. The waiter came over with a card machine, asked if we were ok with a service charge being added on (I hate it when places do this) and told us the final figure that we had to pay.Overall, not impressed. Apart from a few Medicine logos dotted around, you wouldn’t know that this place had anything to do with them. It doesn’t feel like a Medicine and the food is DEFINITELY NOT Medicine standard.We won’t be returning.
