Fantastic experience taking a group of visually impaired students from The Royal National College for the Blind as part of their Duke of Edinburgh award. Thank you Pete and Chris

Novel why to get across the river. I had just missed the ferry, so I had to wait about 1/2 hour, before I got across. Was able to take my bike for extra pound. Ferry at time of writing was open to 8pm according to the ferry man. I'm not sure what time it starts.

Seriously unimpressed with the lack of signs informing the public thay the ferry crossing was no longer in use. We paid for our 4 hours of parking and headed on our walk to the bridge it wasn't until we got to the ferry crossing that we saw the first sign saying it was out of use. We then had to walk all the way back quick march in the hope of not getting a parking ticket. What was meant to be a lovely leisurely walk ended up be spoilt. There should have been signs on the parking meters and on biblins Bridge Informing us. We have done this walk before and knew our young daughter could do the distance but to then find out she had to double the distance wasn't pleasant.

Lovely experience crossing the river Wye on the ferry. Then walking down stream to biblins footbridge and back to the car

Great crossing. Would not have been fun walking back to Biblin's Bridge, to Symond's Yat car park with a 6 year old after 4 hours of walk. :) With this river crossing we had a beautiful round trip.£2 / adult, £1 / child. The Saracen's Head Inn was full. So if you are planning to stop there and have a lunch / late lunch it is better to reserve a table in advance. Every table was occupied or reserved when we arrived there around 3pm. The weather was amazing so not surprised.

At £2 per adult and £1 per child each way which for our party of 6 was a total of £20!! Way too expensive and pub definitely milking it. But views are fantastic and food at the pub was very good.

After a long walk through the Forest of Dean we had to get back across the River Wye to Symonds Yat Rock. We had crossed the river further up at Biblin's Bridge, then walked from there across the top of Seven Sister's Rocks. The ferry runs every 20 to 30 mins and it costs £2 per person. We had our dog with us and he was allowed to cross. It's a cool little ride, and it was nice to finish the day off with a cold drink in the beer garden at the Saracen's Head Inn.

It's the quickest way from one side to another and there's a pub just waiting on the other side or just down the road there's another pub (yeah)
