Grundon Waste Management - Gatwick

I have been requesting a cancellation date from Grundon Waste Management since April 2018 and to this I am still waiting for a confirmation date. Andy at the depot is responsible determining the end date, but you can never get a straight answer via email and he is never at the end of phone when you. Messages are left at the depot to him to return but no one ever calls you back. I would recommend to avoid using Grundon.My recycling wasn't collected on Friday 6th of July 2018.I made a call on a Monday knowing I will be getting a collection on Tuesday to arrange both the Recycling and general waste collected on the same day. I was informed by the lady at the depot that this would not be possible as recycling is only collected on Fridays but could be collected as General waste for an extra charge which I agreed to.When I arrived the next day, to my surprise, the General waste was collected but the recycling was still in the same spot I left it.When I contacted the depot I was informed by the same lady I spoke too previously that it was a misunderstanding on her part as she did not realise that I had authorised the collection?, Even though this was the reason I called.She also told me despite her misunderstanding and cock up that they where unable to collect till Friday? The reason I contacted the Grundon on Monday was to avoid this? So much for customer service!!

We have been using Grundon for our commercial waste for the last two years and would recommend them to anyone.We have had no missed collections and have found the team very helpful with any additional waste issues that arise.As a small business handling food and food waste it’s critical for us to be able to rely on our commercial waste partner to ensure we can maintain our hygiene standards and Grundon have been the perfect fit for us.

Ever since we started to use Grundon at the beginning of 2019 our service has improved dramatically , i don't have to chase missed colllections and waste time arguing with the customer services department. Grundon have been a real joy to work with and I hope to continue our partnership for a long time to come

Excellent service.Grundon seem to be a family run business, very approachable. They are passionate and knowledgeable about the environment and the need to recycle.

We have been using Grundon (Gatwick branch) for a couple of months now for mixed recycling and general waste. They are very responsive and helpful, and resolved teething issues quickly. When the lid of one bin broke, they already knew about it and had started resolving it before I called them. Way way better than Veolia who we were using before!
