Upon arrival at Louth Tip, we were met by the most unhelpful and indifferent staff who were essentially children in high vis. They didn’t allow us on site despite the fact that there were other vans the same exact size on site. Staff were very rude and obnoxious, one even attempted to steal my phone and wouldn’t allow me to walk onto the site to retrieve it. Clearly not making enough pocket money at their Saturday job. No manager to be found. What was supposed to be an easy job ended up taking hours having to go to a different council because ours is atrocious. Moving house to be further from this useless tip.

Been using this place years recently the staff are rude and unhelpful just stand with their ear buds in watching people struggling. There is 1 young lady who is lovley. Today an elderly lady asked one of the boys" I say this as a man would not of done this for help he said "no" and then continued to say..you can't put that in there you need to be the other side..Absolutely disgusting. Must be nice standing there all day getting paid for doing nothing. Luckily us the public help each other as we have before and other us."

I drove all away from biscathorpe on Tuesday and got at the tip on the dot of 15:50. Ther was a Yong big lad there shutting the gates. I stop got out and ask what ya doing it isn't 4 o'clock. The lad told me that they close at 10 to 4 to let people out of the site. Let me tell ya there was not even a brid on site let alone another person that wasn't the staff. In this I ask what time they would be open tomorrow and I was told they wasn't open tomorrow. After this he walked off laughing with some other lad. So I thought they where joking. I got there on Wednesday at around 2ish and the gates was closes and I am sitting outside of the site right now waiting for someone to come but it seems like they ain't coming. I am a 87 year old family framer I work hard and only to get disappointed like this. I even bought the gran kids with me thinking they would enjoy the day out. Just very unprofessional and lazy if you ask me. Back in ma old day we would of been out there working though piss 12 hours a day 7 days a week. No wonder this gen is soo lazy. Sorry for bad picture. I got a old phone.

I googled the facility and it said that it closed at 4:00 p.m. I arrived there at 3:53 p.m. only to be told by member of staff at the only open gate that it was shut. I was told that the web site says it may close 10 minutes before the appointed closing time. This is true - on one of the subsidiary pages of the web site. So why profess to have a closing time of 4:00 p.m.? I had one lawn mower to drop off and I had a round trip of 25 miles. Ecologically aware local authority? Citizen supporting? No self serving officials and self serving staff.

Arrived 3.50pm. Entrance and exit gates being closed. Staff member informed it stated that on the website, and that They are not insured after 3.50pm for unloading.Checked...website states it may close at 3.50pm to allow cars to leave the site.I called the staff from the office at the entrance gate...female operative in a car (doing nothing towards assisting site operations) shouted 'we're closed' and at length the laughter from the site office ceased and 3 lads appeared. Challenged the same operative about insurance statement...he had nothing other than stating it 'says 3.50pm on the sign'...which it doesn't. Shout of 'crack on soldier' and sniggering heard from another member of staff pretty much sums up that the website needs amending to: -'This site may close at 3.50pm to allow site team to knock off early and avoid helping anyone after this time as we can't be bothered....oh and we reserve to right to provide false information to back that claim up'.

Usually very helpful staff, but let down by frequently closing early. The sign outside saying Gates close at 15:50" doesn't impress when you close your gates on two arriving cars at 15:47"

Appalled to see two council staff watch an older lady (70+) struggle to unload rubbish from her car.I helped her after unloading mine. When I asked the ‘gentleman’ & lady why they did not help they said the lady could of asked !Great to see we are getting value for our council tax.

Visited this facility today with a small amount of timber and 1 piece of plasterboard measuring about 1 1/2 foot square. The assistant saw me carrying the piece of plasterboard to a skip that had a red sign Infront of it saying 'soil, plasterboard, rubble' the skip was not full and appeared to have other plaster waste in it. The assistant stopped me and said they couldn't take it because the skip was full, pointing to a different skip. I explained it was one small piece of plasterboard but he was adamant they couldn't take it! I could understand if I had brought a van full of plasterboard but this seems crazy and no common sense applied.
