Please don’t use this chimney sweep! He said it would be advisable to carry out a compression test on the chimney but as I later found out he only did a basic smoke draw test and charged an additional £60 for it. Therefore it cost us £120 for a simple chimney sweep that should have only cost £60. When I called him back to complain he said he couldn’t care less and he was also very rude. Other sweeps will clean your chimney for £50 including a smoke draw test. Very disappointed and we will have this person investigated!

Had this guy supposedly clean my chimney a few years ago. He did not even get dirty. Showed up in a white paper overall and with a small bag. Did not physically clean the chimney but explained he used a new method which was less dirty. Charged 60 quid for a job not done. Would not recommend him to my worst enemies.

Eastbourne Chimney Sweep
We had two chimneys swept - one of which was full of twigs from jackdaw nesting. We lit the fire that evening and immediately the room filled with smoke and the chimney breast got very hot. We were afraid of a chimney fire. A week or two later we called in another sweep who pulled out a further massive amount of wood. We were lucky not to have had a fire as a result of this person only doing a partial sweep and not doing a smoke test on either chimney. He did not provide a certificate either. Terrible - we shudder at the possible result of this amateurish work. Please avoid.

Turned up without an appointment and swept my log burner and open fire. I WAS A FOOL! I allowed him in and did not ask for a price! 18 months ago the same job was done really well by Swept Away for £70. THIS MAN CHARGED £180 for the same job! I've been robbed! Don't use Eastbourne Chimney Sweep!
