Adam Yates Horsemanship

Had Adam over to my difficult loader. He taught me Groundwork to get my boy listening to and trusting me. He now goes in the wagon with ease, neither of us gets stressed. On Adams 2nd visit we travelled to a local show to practice the loading/unloading and getting himto stand on the wagon. Adam also gave me the confidence and tools relax and not get uptight whilst working with my horse.I would definitely use Adam again, he is very understanding of the horse and is quiet and patient with them.

Don't know where to start really, Adam is worth every penny and more! I can't thank him & his team enough.Adam was recommended to me by a friend to send my 5yr old Jerry for re-starting. From our first conversation I immediately felt comfortable.Adam is calm, down to earth, and professional. What he doesn't know isn't worth knowing. Nothing was ever too much trouble.The yard is always immaculate, well run & his staff are all lovely & friendly. All the horses, especially Jerry, seemed super content whenever I visited (which I did often).Adam's training of Jerry has been exceptional but he also has a way of knowing how to train myself and my partner, being firm when needed but giving us support and encouragement at the same time.We feel happy, content and confident bringing Jerry home. I will definitely be sending my rising 4 year old some time this year & will continue with lessons & attending clinics.Thank you so so much Adam, I'm genuinely sad to be leaving for now. (You might feel differently haha).

After hearing really good things about Adam, we called him out, due to our horse being difficult to load & unload following kissing spine surgery & we were really impressed at how knowledgeable he is & how effective the session was.Our horse was walking on & off the trailer much calmer & controlled after the first session, which had a knock on effect to his other behaviour for the better.Everything was explained & talked through with us, which we found really helpful in understanding the horse's behavior...& our own!Would definitely recommend!

Today, went on our first outing since last year due to loading difficulties. Had to call Adam out on a bank holiday to come rescue us at a busy park and he had her on 5 times in the space of about 20 mins and helped me load her too. Couldn’t recommend Adam enough, he stayed calm even when she tested his patience.

I have used Adam for a number of training issues, loading, picking feet up, mounting, tacking up, and lots of ground work techniques to help my mare become more flexible, supple and light in my hand.Every session is very productive and I always come away with a positive attitude, confidence and my mare is very happy and relaxed.What I like about Adam is he not only works with your horse but you!! My relationship with my horse just keeps getting better as she is more responsive due to me being relaxed and not getting frustrated.I highly recommend Adam for any training needs for you and your horse, he truly is the best and would not use anyone else.

I asked Adam if he could help me as I was still struggling with confidence following a riding accident. I was able to ride in the manège but I was petrified of riding off the yard.Adam came and did a few sessions with us and gave me the confidence to venture further afield. I still use some of the methods he taught me and we are continuing to progress.I would highly recommend him.

Adam has helped me on a few occasions with my very quirky and stubborn mare.Firstly with loading issues and then with issues out hacking and crossing water.He is so patient and his approach always gives fantastic results.100% recommend Adam 5*

Adam has worked wonders on restarting a horse I ride who had behavioural issues due to some traumas in her past. She went from unrideable to an event horse! He has also helped with her mounting and more recently her loading. We now have a very happy horse. Highly recommend!

Adam did an amazing job of re schooling my horse after a bad illness . He took him right back to basics and it was a pleasure to watch my horse improve so quickly with Adams kindness and amazing schooling . His calm and tested methods worked wonders ! Thank you

I've requested the help of Adam on a number of occasions now, with different horses and each time has been a great success. There is no request too large or too small and he's willing to help with any problem as well as just general groundwork. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Adam for anything with your horse, he treats them with respect, makes sure he's watching their every reaction to keep them as comfortable as possible while allowing them to learn at their own pace.
