Royal Station Hotel
Following the breakdown of our camper van we were able to book a nights refuge at very short notice. With no clear idea when a new replacement part for the vehicle would arrive and having explained our situation to hotel staff, they allowed us to to delay our checkout until we had the all-clear the vehicle was ready. All the staff were helpful and friendly and made a stressful situation less so. Special thanks to Lesley for her understanding in allowing us to stay on.Oh - and the room was good, well equipped and comfortable. The food was excellent, great atmosphere and relaxing.

Royal Station Hotel
Really nice helpful staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast. I ate at the associated pub and the food is really good, the steamed steak suet pudding with mash is a real crowd pleaser. Will be staying here again. Thank you for my stay.

Had dinner in the bar, all the food was perfect. Definitely recommend the chicken Kiev! Lovely relaxed environment, great service and same menu as the classier restaurant.

Very good stay here for 3 nights. Staff welcoming and friendly. Had the Sunday roast, superb. Very close to Carnforth station so ideal . Would stay again. Thank you for everything.

Royal Station Hotel
Very close to Carnforth station, but the room was tiny, well stocked with tea, coffee and milk though. There was a little fridge in the room which was very handy. The room smelled strongly of dog and the window was screwed shut, very unpleasant especially as it was warm. There was no wardrobe and no drawers, just a rack with hooks and coat hangers on, it was all very cramped and unpleasant. For £95, excluding breakfast, was way overpriced. Just to add I booked directly with the hotel in April for my stay in September, so no booking agent was involved and booking that far in advance I would expect the best room in the hotel not the smelly dog room.

Delicious meal in The Junction Bar, my gammon steak was exquisitely cooked. Impressive range of cask ales too. Service was fantastic; overall, highly recommended

Royal Station Hotel
We stayed for one night while visiting Lancaster University and the hotel was extremely welcoming, clean, efficient and friendly. The room we had was excellent and the service second to none. Breakfast was also superb and although we arrived too late to eat at their restaurant I did see some of the food coming out of the kitchen and it looked and smelled amazing! Glen the owner couldn’t do enough to help us and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!

The reception staff were super helpful and nice but sadly the room fell far below what we would consider to be acceptable. It was at the top of the building with only one window which was a velux over the bed. We could not open this because when open it allowed the rain to drip onto the bed, I feel sure we are not the first guests to encounter this problem.To compound this the extractor unit in the en suite bathroom is faulty causing it to be very loud and ineffective. Consequently we slept in a damp boiling hot room. I shared this feedback with the receptionist but received no recompense despite the fact that I ended up bailing on the room and sleeping in our camper which thankfully was parked outside!!The continental breakfast was nice and good value so all was not lost xx

Would give it 6 if it were possible. Friendly hospitable pub with great beers, superb staff and astoundingly good food. Take a detour, for lunch or dinner. Well worth it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely hotel. I was here for a family party and it didn't disappoint. The room we were in was very comfortable and clean with drink making facilities as well as a small fridge. The bathroom was well designed and the shower was great. The party room was gorgeous and had a large outside balcony area with plenty of seating. The buffet was hot food with a choice of curry, rice, naan, chips, meat pie, hotpot or pizza which was all very generous portions and delicious. We paid extra for breakfast in the morning but it was £12 (per cooked breakfast) well spent as there was also cereals and fruit available - although the full English was definitely enough. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a really great stay. The only thing I would say is that if you struggle with stairs then mentioning this when booking as the lift only goes to the first floor.
