Burnside Lakes
The Anderson Group had plans to transform Cherry Hinton Lakes into an “urban country park” called Burnside Lakes, which would be open to the public. The new plans would see the lakes, which are currently used by an anglers club, opened up to the wider public, and could include recreational areas such as a cafe, designated picnic area, and bird hide. The Anderson Group submitted a planning application to the Greater Cambridge Planning Service in June 2021 but withdrew it in September 2021 after receiving more than 500 objections from selfish residents with hidden gates in their garden to the private" (not actually private) site."

Such a pity that this beautiful space is not accessible to the public. A shame.
