Leighton Hospital

I went into the treatment centre for a day operation on Friday 1st December 2023. The care I received was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly, caring and thoughtful. All the staff ensured I had all the information I needed, that I understood what was going to happen and that I had opportunity to ask any questions. I could not fault the care I received. Thank you to our wonderful NHS!

Absolutely disgraceful. Don’t even deserve 1 star. I was referred for an urgent X-ray at 0900 on Mon morning, a recorded message said they weren’t open until 1400 as they were having an IT update!! Why on a Monday? It was 1600 before I got through to someone and everyday I’ve rang to get an appointment only to be told to ring back after 1400 or ring back tomorrow. It’s now Wed I’m in agony with rib pain and have been told to ring back this afternoon as they haven’t ‘authorised’ my referral (emergency referral from a Doctor). I will now have to go an sit in A&E for goodness knows how long to get an X-ray that was requested urgently on Monday morning. Absolutely disgraceful.

I've had really bad experiences at this hospital many years ago with this hospital.However I can honestly say the improvement is immense. I had to have a Laparoscopy yesterday, and my treatment and care was second to none.The nurses at the Treatment lounge were so lovely and caring. It was evident they obviously cared about their patients. I was very nervous and they were so reassuring, even helped put my stockings on we had to wear.One was a trainee nurse who asked to sit into my surgery was just amazing and I am sure she will go far!The treatment after the surgery on the ward was just equally just as good, continually checking on me as I was very much in pain, and were just lovely!Well done Leighton! You've certainly come on leaps and bounds, thank you to all of your wonderful nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists for your service!

From Pre-op to surgery and post-op I could not have been looked after any better. Initially, the volunteer staff were so friendly and helpful. My day of surgery went perfectly and I could not have been looked after any better 100% from start to finish

This hospital needs a wake up call. My husband suffered a TIA Friday 8th December, 111 advised go straight to an and e at Leighton. Arrived at 5.15 triaged, then nothing, no ct scan, no further intervention till 6am next morning, sent home with aspirin and consultant would ring next day. Phone call came Sunday to be told to ring our doctor when we got back to Liverpool (we were away in our caravan)To add insult to injury the consultants report states ct scan normal. At no point did my husband get a cat scan at Leighton.

Recently gave birth at Leighton Hospital. Every single person we met on the labour and maternity wards was fantastic. Caring and hardworking. We felt well looked after and in safe hands. Thank you!

5 stars is just not enough to represent the care given by this hospital. From my partner rushing through the doors of A&E and being cared for so superbly by Bright, to spending 18 days on wards 12 & 13, cared for and closely monitored by the most phenomenal medical professionals I could have ever wished for. Tracey from Critical Care, and Helen ACP who went above and beyond to make sure my partner recovered so well. Outstanding. Everyone involved in his care was utterly amazing. Thank you could never come close to being enough. I will be eternally grateful.

Really friendly staff who help me find the department I needed and helped me get my drink out of the vending machine after it got stuck. No wait times. The building is run down and will be replaced thanks to the local MP who campaigned for this. I hope the next building is even better and continues to operate with excellence for many years to come

I don't recommend this hospital its dirty,staff are very unhelpful .the waiting times in A and E are ridiculous waited all day and still had hours to wait so returned the next day wich lead to me haveing to stay in hospital for 3 weeks. The dirty spoon has been left there for days, and the dirty bedding days aswell.the place is absolutely disgusting and is never cleaned.i would give 0 stars if I could.
