Clark's Original Pies
Having been at the opening in 1955, I skipped lessons at Grange Council primary.Today's Clarkie is not the same recipe, which is a shame.The Victoria Park shop made a better pie, certainly in the 1990's.My father had cafe by the swing Bridge between the Queens and Roath Docks for many years and bought a tray of pies and pasties from Denis Dutch everyday .

I find the Grangetown Clarkes pie shop far better than Vic Park pies. The staff in this shop are really down to earth and friendly, moreso than Vic Park, and the pies are in my opinion realistically priced compred to the other shop (which is horrendously expensive.) The pies here are lovely.

A long standing business from 1955 that has always made quality pastries. From Pies to Doughnuts, the selection is varied, always fresh and full of flavour! Especially with them being a part of Talgarth Bakery!The shop is clean and well maintained so you can always guarantee that food is of the highest qualityStaff are friendly, welcoming and chatty. Always willing to help and ensure your food is piping hot before you leave!Well worth a visit even if it's just for a steak and onion pie and a quick chat with Lorraine or Steve!

Absolutely the best! The small minced beef and onion pies are so good when fresh from the oven, really nice peppery beef flavour and the custard slices are the greatest things on earth (my kids being miles behind in second place) the nicest people work there to. If anyone is visiting Cardiff, forget the stadium, forget the castle, just try this place first, you won't be disappointed.

Clark's Pies are a Cardiff Legend. The food is good would recommend the pasty version of the traditional pie. The cakes are good, shop here about once a month.

I’ve always enjoyed Clark’s pies for over twenty year stopped before the lockdown due to relocating I drove past today and thought I would get a hot one to eat in the car and someCold for tea but the ones I got today from the Clarke’s pie shop was nothing like what I’ve always been used too the pastry was so thick and super salty it was inedible there was barely any meat the pastry was that thick. I dread to think what the cold ones will be like!If I could add a photo I would have!
