The Old Stables Inn Beattock
We just stayed here for 2 nights. We can’t recommend it enough. The staff were very welcoming. The food was excellent. The rooms were clean & comfortable, with ample tea & coffee provided, even had a nice little touch with a make-up remover cloth with the towels.You wouldn’t know there was a pub below, because it’s a very quiet & peaceful place, surrounded by some lovely views.We would definitely stay here again.

I was running late and the staff kept the kitchen open for me. Massively appreciated as I had been running 26 miles to get there.Then the breakfast in the more was really good and the room spot on. I wish I could stayed another jight.

We have visited a few times but last night was our first stay.The room was lovely and comfortable and the staff very friendly and welcoming.The pub itself was busy with a fantastic atmosphere.The food was simple bar food , all absolutely lovely.Having been disappointed by the larger impersonal hotel chains it was so lovely to get what we paid for and a great night out too.Thankyou very much

Lovely food & dog friendly stop just off M6We needed somewhere to stop for tea instead of the services whilst travelling home from Edinburgh 3.5 hours so we chose to pull off here, the food was 10/10 they just make smaller versions of adults food for the kids which I absolutely loved. The service was amazing our little boy got given a Christmas pack from under the tree that kept him entertained until our food came. We got 2 adults, a child’s meal & two drinks which came to about £40 which I think is a good price to start but the food quality was amazing! They are dog friendly as well if you’re travelling with dogs. Would go here again if ever up that way!

The Old Stables Inn Beattock
stayed here for two nights a couple of weeks ago on a mini motorcycle trip before the crazy weather hit the UK. massive car park no issues with security of my bike as it was surrounded by motorhomes.. food was fantastic for both breakfast and evening meal. Richard and his staff are fabulous.. highly recommended will definitely stay again next year..

Stop over for 1 night with the motorhome, evening meal with the better half Angela, couple of drinks as well, then in the morning booked in for breakfast at £8.50 you can't go wrong, Richard and his staff were very friendly, thanks to everyone.

Stayed in our motorhome on the carpark. A proper pub, great well looked after beer, very friendly locals, fabulous food and staff. We'll definitely be back. Thank you

Dropped into the old stables as a stop over. Good selection of beers, great food particularly the steak & black pudding pie. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely drop in again when in Dumfries & Galloway.
