I took my 4 year old here on a wet weather day and we both loved it. There are so many fun and interesting interactive displays! Upstairs each room has topical toys, puzzles, books and crafts which are well presented and looked after. You can take a magnify glass or a torch from the front and walk round and do the childrens trail to add some more structure if you like. We loved the kitchen and school room. It was great to be in a place I didn't need to keep reminding him 'not to touch that'. There's a lovely tea room and big garden too. Highly recommended!

My daughter and I visited the cafe rather than the museum (we are locals). Would like to see a bigger menu if at all possible but such lovely gardens. Very pleasant visit.

Great little museum but also a lovely cafe you can visit without entering the museum. Ideal coffee stop if shopping in Wimborne.

Fantastic local museum in an historic building. Recently refurbished and conserved in an innovative, sympathetic way that makes the building one of the main exhibits. Lots of fascinating objects, with stories linking them with the previous owners of the house and local community. Displays are wonderfully presented so your senses are not too overwhelmed, with some really innovative interpretations and interactives. Amazing garden and tea room at the back. Plenty for children. Excellent gift and book shop at the entrance/exit.

Real ugly modern frontage has recently been slapped on ruining the look of the Museum. Used to look very chocolate box picture postcard traditional look that is associated with Wimborne town centre. Don't suppose they can claim to put it back how it was?

We had such a great day at the museum! There is so many interactive activities for kids to get involved with, allowing us to have a good look around as well! We had so much fun dressing up and getting involved. Lovely cafe and garden as well. A great day out for the family!

Took our 5 yr old grandson because we thought he would like the special exhibit of model railway. He did, except he could not touch anything and he wanted to go back to the kitchen to play. Lovely experience in a well-maintained museum and kind, friendly, volunteers. Lots of questions on the drive home after.

Very good. HOWEVER Very expensive I don't know how the got permission to fit stainless steel shop front. Displays are good but it's very sparse. Lots of open space. Love the garden

Very interesting museum, pretty garden and a tea room. We enjoyed about 1 1/2 hours there.
