ALL staff that were front of house on that particular shift were miserable ( yes, even the blonde one that's usually chirpy and pleasant ) The lady behind the bar (red and white shirt) didn't even look up from her paperwork to acknowledge us when we arrived ( just what you want to see when you arrive a nice friendly face and she couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge our presence - really rude) or when we were leaving and wanted to pay - It was my daughters birthday and no one acknowledged her either - all dressed up with a big birthday badge - for a 7 year old she couldn't understand why. Begrudgingly paid over £100 for four of us to dine there and after yesterday's experience with miserable staff will not be returning unfortunately.

We booked a table for 2 online tonight which was very easy to do. When we turned up we were greeted by a lovely member of the bar staff who showed us to our table gave us a menu & said a member of staff would be with us shortly. The Lady came & took our drink orders & said she'd give us some time to choose our food. For starters I chose Mushroom Soup & my wife had the Prawn Cocktail. I can honestly say the Mushroom Soup is the best I've ever had, the taste was outstanding. For mains I tried to order the Glazed Honey & Mustard Gammon Hock, unfortunately there had been a problem with the oven & it was unavailable so I opted for the Gammon & Chips meal whilst my wife had the Pie of the day (which was Steak & Ale) both were very good & very tasty. Against my better judgement I decided to join my wife in having a dessert, my wife had the Cheesecake & I had the Apple & Cherry Crumble with Ice-cream absolutely gorgeous just very filling. All the food came out promptly & was hot & tasty, we were asked several times if everything was alright & did we need anything else. The Lady who looked after us was called Carol & we couldn't of wished for a more nicer waitress she was so lovely. We will definitely be returning & I certainly recommend the Talardy but as I always say this is my opinion yours may differ but it is definitely worth a try.

Very disappointing visit today. Wanted to take the family out for lunch after a Christmas experience we had been to. We were seated and drinks order came quickly, as did our food - but we didn't see our server again ! Got up and found our own suaces etc, no one came to check on us. Wanted dessert and more drinks, but just gave up in the end and paid at the bar over (£100). I did tell the guy at the bar that the service was non existant, but he just looked blankly at me and didn't even appologise. I did also tell them that someone had been sick outside, but again didn't seem bothered.I'm afraid we won't be visiting again which is a shame as it's so local for us - what a shame, and a disappointing end to a lovely family day !!

Went here for an evening meal.The ambience was great. Plenty of room (you don’t feel crowded like some places) and the service was very quick.The staff are friendly and the food was great. I had sirloin steak and my other half had gammon steak.All in all it was a very pleasant experience.Car parking was excellent with plenty of space.

As part of my 25th birthday celebrations I went to The Talardy, whilst I was there the customer service was second to none and the staffs attitude was perfect and they were kind, friendly. The food was stunning and beautiful, it really provoked a taste sensation.Loved it and it was my first time dining there.The place was spectacular and beautiful. Very classy and handsome.

We were there to celebrate my sister and brother-in-law’s golden wedding. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating to our dog. The food was first class and the service excellent. The staff did all they could to make the evening really special for us all. I would highly recommend the Talardy to anyone - it’s superb

Have been for 2 birthday celebrations recently. It's a lovely location for it. A nice roomy space and not noisy. The menu offers plenty of choice for diverse tastes and eating habits/preferences and is affordably priced. The staff are wonderful, helpful but low key and service is excellent. A great place to meet up with people

This was our 3 visit to Talardy since mid September. The staff were pleasant and courteous and we were shown to our table immediatelly. We came to celebrate birthdays of twin sisters and we all (5 of us) enjoyed the meal. The food was hot and served on hot plates and the service was prompt and friendly.

Always a warm welcome from friendly staff.Quick to be sat down menus and drinks, staff always say what’s not available etcFood always well presented and served hot.I must say the staff are always efficient friendly and time between service is well timed. We visit monthly from work to catch up so the location from the hospital is ideal, we always notice the staff are the same which speaks volumes, no big turn over.
