King Chef

I ordered chicken satay, it arrived and when opened I was shocked to see the container was only ⅔ full which for the amount paid is absolutely disgraceful. Quantity aside the satay was unrecognisable and had a fishy taste to it! King Chef! More like apprentice chef with no taste buds, I will never use this take away again. The meal went in the bin!

Don't know why this place is only being rated at 2.5 stars as the food i ordered was perfect! Food came on time and was lovely! Driver was really polite too. I'm quite picky with Chinese food but this place was brilliant. Will be ordering again!

I ordered myself roast peking pork in sweet and sour sauce. Flavour was faultless, but the lack of pork was such a disappointment that it may as well just have been green peppers and onions in sweet and sour sauce. I don’t recommend ordering from this place if you are a meat lover.

THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!! Review would be minus 1,000,000 but google dosent allow that. BEWARE IF YOU ORDER HERE. Ordered from here many times and has always been pleasant tonight sat down to enjoy my meal to find 100s of small black ants floating in my sauce (would attach the image but unsure how) which by this point had been poured all over my meal as I was sat in my dim living room and always enjoy the sauce on my spring rolls, onion rings as such. Alerted Foodhub as this is a health and safety issue to be told they would ring the restaurant about the inconvenience. To be told they’d offered a £2.70 refund on over £20 worth of food.. Not bothered about the refund but more my health on the other hand. This place should be shamed clearly no hygiene whatsoever in place ANTS ..

Paid online for delivery only for them to cancel my order saying it was too far. I’m literally 2 min drive away when I rang them she said I saw farm and just thought it was too far away. Your situated in a village your surrounded by farms. Wouldn’t put my order back on then said we would have to wait 3-5 working days for a refund. They’ve even delivered to me lots of times so just couldn’t be bothered. Absolutely disgusting attitude I will never order with them again and I’ll make sure none of my friends and family do either !

I was reluctant to try this Chinese due to the mixed reviews.To my surprise the rice, satay and sweet & sour chicken balls were all of good quality. My only complaint would be the sweet & sour sauce had a very runny watery consistency, but aside from that the flavour was nice.Delivery arrived 50 minutes after placing the order.So overall a good experience :)

We must go to King Chef once a fortnight- it's out go to local takeaway! People always lovely when we go and pick up the food, we always get some yummy freebies when we order over a certain amount, speedy delivery whenever we are too lazy to collect... what more can you want!Food is great with good portion sizes, great sauces. No complaints about anything!

Don't get the 2.6 rating! We had a lovely meal with generous portions. Would definitely go back.

Very rare I feel the need to give a bad review. Ordered from here tonight. Was told it would be an hour..2 hours later food arrived. Salt & pepper chips, some red hot, some stone cold, onions raw! Duck & black bean came as beef with a fishy taste?! Chow mein again an under taste that didn’t seem right. chicken battered balls..were okay. Whole meal got binned straight off. Safe to say, we won’t be returning!

Great prices and great delivery times I’ve always enjoyed the food but chips could be nicer
