Good view point with free parking and information boards. Huge boulder marking the England- Scotland border. Very exposed, weather can be severe

For some reason Google removed my review? So I’m putting it back on. Came here in August from a trip on a section of Hadrian’s Wall with my fiancé and found it to be very beautiful. The weather was rain and sun and when the sun shone you saw amazing views of the Scottish land. A lot of history is found here especially if you read about the Border Reivers first. Normally there is a burger van and toilets here but when I visited it was a weekend. It’s a much more beautiful way into Scotland. Highly recommend to stop here.

The little strip of land between England and Scotland, high vantage point to look back at Scotland was a little bit hazy on our stop but 22° C at 9:00 am so taking landscape pictures on a smartphone proved a bit different. There is a burger van on the side going into Scotland not on the English side but I had only just had my breakfast.

A nice place to pull over to checkout the views and England Scotland rock signs as you cross the border. We also stopped off in Jedburgh nearby (park on the free car park near the river/ abbey ruins).

Good biking roads around this whole area.. With great scenery. There's a food van in summer that does a nice bacon sandwich ( he also does venison or haggis or pheasant)and even a bagpiper to give it a great atmosphere..

Modernisation has spoilt the original border and its signs. See photos.
