First shopped at Mike Manning just over 20 years ago . I was looking to change my speakers , and right away I felt I have come to the right place . For here was someone who was as passionate about the music and equipment as I am .So I again I went to mr Manning when it was time for me to buy a new integrated amplifier .Some years passed and it was time to buy the set up I really wanted a pre amp , power amp , CD player and a short time after I upgraded the speakers I first bought there . That was 15 years ago I’m still using and enjoying the HIFI very much but I have worn my CD player out , which is why I’ve come to do this review as I have just recently bought a new CD player from Mike and am over the moon with it . Equipment, leads or even for advice would I go anywhere else.....no I would go to Mike Manning .

Having known this business for many years I find the negative review posted as being unwarranted,m m and staff always most helpful offering sound advice,the only time I did not take their advice was when I wanted to purchase a Rega turntable and had a nightmare experience with a hi fi shop near them ,turntable was clearly faulty,aggressive manager very obstructive but backed down after we drove considerable way to sort it out ,the platter had a deviation of a quarter of an inch on unboxing had been purchased online! Point being this would never have happened at mannings shop.we live and learn.

Friendly knowledgeable staff who aim to do what is best for you not necessarily best for them. If you want proper audio and visual equipment look no further.

Before the Covid19 issue, Mike Manning was supposed to set up turntable for me, unfortunately it never happened, endless promises made but nothing materialised.Poor Communication, very difficult to get a returned phone call or reply, so from personal experience i would not recommend his services, I found an alternative company to provide set up and calibrate my turntable, excellent service and great communication.I had an interesting conversation with one of there distributors, which brought a whole new light on why they acted the way they did.I cannot speak for anyone else, this is purely down to my own experience, I sincerely hope this kind of behaviour continues as they will not have a customer base left.These are false claims from Mike Manning Audio and for which I will be seeking legal action for liable and slander. If a business slanders a new customer online, what does that say about the business? A warning there if I ever saw it.With regard to me calling them on a Tuesday, Good customer service I would expect them to be calling me, a that’s what good customer should be.

We've not done business yet but we will. He could have just tried to sell me something but I was given solid advice for free to start with.Trustworthy.There's not many professionals left with Mike's knowledge and experience in the industry.

I have just seen a negative review of this business and it upsets me! Owing to my relocation back to Yorkshire I have not had any dealings with Mike Manning for many years now, if I was still in the area I'm sure that I would have.I got my Linn LP12 from Mike when he was still at Radford HiFi in Bristol in 1983 or 1984, this was followed by a NAD CD player and a couple of cartridges. I still have the Linn, upgraded a little, and remember being given demonstrations in a relaxed and convenient manner. I brought a NAD amplifier for work, long story, from Mike at his own shop in Yeovil too.My recollection of Mike is someone who listened to my requirements, then gave sensible advice based on my requirements and budget. He was always personable, professional and with a smile and a good sense of humour. A thoroughly decent human being.

Very happy with my R3. Just rang the shop to help me with setting my machine up and am so happy it is now all set up and I can listen to my French radio. Great knowledge and communication.Thanks for all your help
