We used this place to camp. Already married. Though, this is a great place for a rustic themed wedding. With pond, bar, and Tepee tents available. I would come again. Wife got ill and wanted to go home.Like with all campsites, the first thing you think of is wash facilities and toilets. These were simple and very clean. Thank you to all that used and cleaned these facilities. I WOULD GIVE 10/10.Some things I would change is all tents to have the availability of electric hookups.Restrictions on pets roaming and messing the place. Show stopper for me.A car free site is a great idea and safer for families. The entrance doesn't give a camsite feel. Trees and privacy netting would improve this.Ye... overall it's a great value site. Simple and secure.

One of the best holidays we have had. On site bar, sheltered seating area, facilities were extremely clean and the hosts were fantastic.

Stayed for a mini-moon for two nights, and happened to be the only people there. The facilities were kept very clean and tidy, the accommodation itself was exactly as described. Not far from central Chester, there is a great cheap and cheerful pub about 10 minute walk down the road too, great location for two spas if you fancied going for the day. Excellent stay, thanks for having us!

We love it here! We had the most perfect wedding at Kings Acre back in 2017 and have returned time and time again ever since. Such a relaxed and easy going atmosphere that takes you away from it all and lets you unwind. It is quirky and unfussy and run by the most wonderdul family. To us its just a perfect escape from Chester city centre. We always introduce new friends to the place and they love it as much as we do. Last night we all sat round the campfire listening to the local owls. Perfect evening.

A very basic campsite. Traffic noise present throughout the night, a very basic facilities and unimaginative “decor” of it with the “No dogs” rule made this place not so popular on our list. However, if you are here for a night or two while visiting Chester Zoo it’s OK as it’s 10min away.

We sent a fun summers evening at King Acres as a family. The venue was really well put together, with an lovely camping area, clean facilities and well stocked bar within the amazing wood cabin, which overlooks the beautiful pond.

This was a real find! The people who own the site are lovely and there’s a bar on site that may or may not open, but if it does the local village pops by for a drink and they are the friendliest people. We stayed by the lake for the weekend and got called home early which was a shame as we had planned a big day trip to the beach. We will be returning here soon next year.

A truly lovely and well maintained camp site. We went for a mid-week break and had a really relaxing time. Easy to book, friendly team & super clean.

I stayed solo for two nights in my camper mid week to have a little break and unwind from stress. I had the whole site to myself and really enjoyed the peace and quiet of sitting by the pond with a cuppa watching the dragonflies and fish. There’s a freezer to freeze freezer packs which seems to be a rarity on campsites nowadays which I really appreciated. The owner was warm and welcoming and the lady who came to do forest school was friendly too. There is a little road noise but it didn’t bother me & that road made it easy to get to! Could do with signs for the water taps as I was about to text the owner when I found it. Showers just the right temperature. I’ll stay there again if i’m in the area.
