Honest waste of a place with great potential. Owner of the place is a stuck up, arrogant and rude person who’s done nothing but kick people out for minor things such as helping someone from your own household on your own spot, with their rods right by their sides. I understand there are rules but there is a humane way of informing your own costumers regarding them in case they’ve missed out on something or were misinformed, which is staff and especially as owner should do, yet she instead raised her voice as an introduction and acted all arrogant as if we’re not fully clear with the rules, we should get out. Absolutely not worth coming to unless you want to either be kicked out for walking 10 steps away from your rods (with alarms) or spend your day frustrated holding a rod in your hands. As an addition, the place is absolutely not maintained, the place is full of goose droppings, can’t take a single step without stepping in it, neither is the lake properly maintained. Awful experience, absolutely not worth.

Avoid this place.The owners don't have other aims, just to make you uncomfortable, they remind all the times for the rules with an attitude of a sailor.She just stopped with a Range rover and attacked our group, try to make us separated, not even watch each other's catch. Land your fish alone, no1 is allowed to share your success, not even with a peek. Don't have fun...just pay. Disgusting. No respect of this sport and fun...my catch just was gone, because she disturb with an attitude. I was just about to ask for a refund and leave...

If your looking to fish for half dead fish in littered waters than this is the perfect place. The bailiff has no filter and is always trying to find an issue to argue about, the issue he was furious about for me was i left my rod to my son (17 years old) while i went to the toilet (which smell awful and are covered in human waste) and when i came back i was banned from the site because i was the one who paid for the spot to fish so my son wasnt allowed to help. Honestly the worst site ive ever been to in the UK in the 30 years ive fished. Keep away at all costs.

A lovely place to give you confidence.Been getting more busy. During summer.People who don't want to follow the rules done bother going you will be asked to leave.Cafe lake. You can catch well keep it simple.

Have fished this place a few times and found it ok as far as the fishing goes as for the facilities I have never seen such a disgusting toilet there is a Porto loo by the lakes that is caked in poo not been cleaned for ages the seat the toilet and everywhere in between was not just a splash but actually some one had done on the seat itself the other toilets at main cab are all locked so can’t use so packed up early to use a loo that was fit for use. Very appalled by this won’t be returning after that would not waste my money disgusted

Great well run fishery by owners Bob and Jodie and bailiff Trigger very helpful and all round top man . Had 8 days on café lake with my brother with nearly 200 stunning carp and catfish between us highly recommended and can't wait to get back.

Some of the reviews ive looked at are very negative but I wonder if some of the people posting them have been told to leave for breaking the rules!. We have just got back after a 24 hour session. The staff in the office are helpful and polite , the toilets are clean and the fishery itself well kept. We had around 20 fish ,Cats upto 30lb and carp upto 18lb . One of the bailiffs called Trigger did a tackle check and came back the next day to see how we had got on ,Trigger is a no nonsense guy who is very friendly and has a lot of advice to give any anglers who want to learn more about the fishery and wellbeing of the fish . I hope Trigger reads this as he deserves some recognition for going the extra mile Ford and Dave.
