Took my young son as he's into spiders,I explained to John that I just wanted to have a look with my son,we spent an hour in the shop,John and the young lady who work there gave my child a Fantastic child friendly tour and he learnt so much about all the animals in the shop,the staffs patience and knowledge are just to be applauded, Fantastic place and what was amazing is that at the end they gave my lad a skin from a tarantula that is now in pride of place in his bedroom. Thanks guys you are Fantastic.

Really love this place, animals are healthy (if not you get told so), owner is really friendly and sells a variety of products. Lovely place, I recommend going if you're looking for unique pets or even just food(etc).

Great place holds many lovely memories for me, used to go in here with my dad as a child. Called in yesterday for some advice and supplies for my leopard gecko and was still met with friendly service as always.

Would buy anything from this pet store!.The gentleman that helped me was so Patient and helpful. He explained what I needed and what it was for also the pure love for his animals was second to none. We explained we wanted a Bearded dragon and we got everything for a fraction of the cost from a larger pet store. He laughed and said said “I have a rat on the counter”and I thought he was joking! But no that’s where he lives near the till like a guard lol.

Good little shop. Generally has a good selection of tropical and cold water fish, Also Arachnids, reptiles and rodents as well as a decent selection of pet supplies. Owners a good bloke. And he knows his stuff.

Just bought my first snake, a female corn snake with full set up, easy for a first timer to set up and look after, a great price compared to things I've SSSSSSEEN online and John (the owner) is brilliant, really knows his stuff, is available 24/7/365 for advice or supplies, including Christmas and New year before mid day, absolutely brilliant all round. Love this pet shop, I recommend to the novice (like me) but also for anyone who knows their stuff already and just needs supplies or top notch knowledge. 5 star is not enough I give 10 star, purely because I've got friends who know their stuff with exotic pets and have all said John is the man!!!

Knowledgeable helpfull staff, helped me cure a persistent water borne cloudy algae issue could have sold me tonics and expensive items but advised a cheap solution. I have bought all my fish from there since and never had an issue with illness or disease.Shop might be a little old school but the welfare and care given is evident.

40 years John has been there!A good range of exotic pets and fish. Very well cared for, a lot are bred in situ.
