Hendy Car & Van Store

Ended up looking round Hendy Car & Van Store when my car of 11 years needed a new engine. After getting bombarded by salesmen, we almost walked out, however, Jack B was incredible. There was something about him that was kind and he wasn’t pushy at all, very different to others in garages nearby and also at the store - Jack helped move a car out for us so we could sit in and have a look, he even found one that had all the requirements I wanted, including red stitching on the seats. I ended up buying a different car that I saw on the way out, but called Jack back because I knew I wouldn’t be pushed or forced into buying the car if I didn’t want it. Jack was really a breath of fresh air when it comes to salespeople and felt relaxed knowing I was buying the car from him, he even unlocked a mustang so my housemate could just sit in it! Highly recommend Jack at Hendy as he’ll go out of his way to find you the car you need, with all the requirements you want!

I bought a Ford Fiesta this was my first time financing a car and was nervous. I spoke to Codi who made me a video showing me round the car and then was really helpful on the day. Staff are really friendly so thank you Codi and Joey after having bad experiences with other garages made me feel comfortable.

I popped down today and was very impressed with the great range of vehicles they had. I was greeted by a young man named Ryan who was very helpful giving me directions around the building. The staff were all very friendly and inviting and they had a good amount of knowledge on the cars they had in stock. Anything they were unaware of they were quick to find out for me. Overall I had a great experience at Hendy Portsmouth Car and Van store.

I couldn't believe the variety of cars they had in one place! There was no specific layout which gave us an enjoyable walk around their 3 showrooms. The apprentice Ryan was more than happy to help, answering our questions to the best of his ability. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a car.

The worst experience I have ever had! Thought it was going smoothly until got to 3rd week of having the car and it went faulty, engine light come on and dash light up like a Christmas tree! Wasn’t impressed!!! After days of trying to contact after care team managed to get the car in the garage and got it “fixed” a week after being repaired the car was at fault again! Tried to contact Hendy yet again no response for days for them to tell me they can only repair it a month later! In my eyes not good enough!!! After pestering them managed to get it in a week earlier been offered no courtesy car but still willing to take my money for a car that’s underivable.Would not recommend anyone to purchase a car from here!

I have recently purchased a car from the Hendy garage in Portsmouth-and the service was great. Jack Baigent and Jordan Francalanz were very helpful, professional and friendly. Jack arranged a test drive very promptly and gave a lot of information about the car before being passed over to Jordan to finalise the purchase. Overall, I’m very happy with the service and I would definitely recommend to anyone who is thinking of purchasing a car .
