A small group went for a friend's birthday Sunday lunch. Very hospitable hosts, lovely environment. Good service and a lovely meal and dessert. Well priced.

I rarely do reviews but had a lovely experience at the Wellington Heifer last night. Birthday meal for my wife with 2 friends and our dog Archie. Staff friendly and attentive. Good beers (Timothy Taylor Landlord or Wensleydale Semer Water). Cosy front room with open fire. Extensive menu and the food was very good. All good. Would recommend and will be back.

Enjoyed our stay here (first time)...staff friendly and helpful, food was lovely both breakfast (no hash browns!...result lol) and evening meals were good value... the rooms were comfortable and clean...good base for exploring North Yorkshire.Would stay again without hesitation

The pub has a nice cosy feel, the food was very good. We stayed a night, the room was better than I expected, very modern and immaculate. They also looked after something I had left behind and I picked it up a week later. Very handy stop off from the A1. Overall very good value and I would stay again.

Lovely food. Cosy ambience, log burners on. Friendly service. What's not to like. Excellent! Return regularly. Children friendly too with separate children's menu! Our little grandson enjoyed his sausage & chips & gorgeous sticky toffee pudding.

Really enjoyed our overnight stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is perfectly well equipped and clean.Both the evening meal and breakfast the next day were of a very high quality.

We went for a meal as a large group of 20+. We chose off the set menu, all the food was amazing and the staff were really nice. Highlights were the scotch egg and sticky toffee pudding.

Cozy sport in the country with some high class food.Went here for an anniversary meal with 5 people. It was medium busy but quiet do that you could talk with the whole table. Service was quick, attentive, and friendly.Everybody had the set meal. I had the scotch egg, pork loin, and sticky toffee pudding with icecream (no custard...) The egg was a great start and I could have had 5 of these. The pork loin was lean and cooked to perfection. Lastly other than no custard the dessert was so good and morish. Street parking and parking in the back

We visited for a meal - and how delicious it was!The ambience was warm and cosy, Johnny was very professional and polite. We had the set nenu which was drlicious and great value for money.
