Elite Upholstery

I had Elite upholstery to recover a Wingback chair for me in December 2017. Initially I was really pleased with the job that Ian had done but less than 6 months later and the chair has started to come unstitched in various places - seat pad, arm and back. I am now paying the same money again to get the chair recovered elsewhere.

Ian re-upholstered our 3 seater and 2 chairs from fabric to leather some 6 years ago. He did a fantastic job at a good price. It still looks great. I have recommended him lots with no come backs. PS I think it's wrong that a girl and also her mum each leave a bad review for the same issue! These reviews are important to a small business and as anyone who runs one will tell you there's always one job that comes back to Haunt you. Personally IMHO A 50% refund was a satisfactory solution.

I recommended my daughter to use Ian when she wanted a chair recoveringShe supplied the material which was £87 and he charged £175 to do itI collected it for her on 6th December 2017She only uses the chair occasionally when I visited her in August I noticed it was coming undone in about 4 placesWhen I called to see mr Cooke about it and showed him the photos his answer was to let him have it backI pointed out this wasn't practical as she has moved over 400 miles away so I asked for her money back or half of it he said no wayWe have just took it to a upholster in Elgin he said he has not overlocked any of the stitching and she is now going to have to pay another £150 to have it put right he has just upholstered over the old materialI would never have any thing done by this man ever againLynn Davies
