Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa
I have not stayed overnight in any of the rooms, but I have been on spa days. To be honest, the spa days are just not worth the money. Changing rooms are very cramped and can be full of kids. On one occasion, the showers were all cold and the jacuzzi had been drained. I was not informed of this. The 30 minute treatment turned out to be 20 minutes, what a rip off!! Would not recommend spa days. So bad.

We took advantage of the Sunday night special. Food was limited as special deal but was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was really warm and cosy. Will definitely go again.

Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa
I didn’t stay at the hotel but had a spa day.-I booked the spa day via the website, selected the treatments and received a confirmation email with treatment times. When we arrived we were told that no treatments were booked and we had to choose what we wanted. It was strange as I had email confirmation with specific times and treatments chosen.-The confirmation email also said someone would contact me before the spa to take payment details, but I wouldn’t be charged until on the day. This never happened so I called them to confirm my spa day was actually going ahead. It seems they’re not aware of the contents of their own emails.-The spa lunch was tasty and 3 courses but it took 45 minutes for our food to come out. They first said they didn’t receive our order, and then brought out the wrong meal twice. After waiting so long for the correct meal, I had to quickly eat it all in order to be on time for my 1.30pm treatment. I went to the treatment room at 1.30 only to be told that my treatment was at 2, so I had rushed for nothing. It made me feel silly for believing the times that I saw in my confirmation email.-The shoulder, neck and scalp massage was done with me lying on my back which was strange as the therapist had to squeeze her fingers between the bed and my back in order to get to my shoulders, so I wouldn’t recommend this treatment. The facial was great though.-The pool area and changing rooms look tired and could do with some TLC.-The relax room had complimentary tea which was nice but had no sugar or milk there.-On a positive, the staff are friendly.-Overall, there were too many things that didn’t go smoothly so I wouldn’t return. If you’re going to book with them, don’t believe anything in your confirmation email and call to confirm.

This hotel in amazing. Everything is clean and beds are comfortable. Showers are extremely small; I'm 5,3 and size 8-10 and managed to bruise elbows while washing hair. However enjoyed the large TV

Based on our experience I would not recommend the Cambridge Belfry.We booked a junior suite for my family of four for one night, the price included breakfast and an evening meal. At dinner we asked the waitress if the children’s meals were included and she said ‘yes’.However, when we checked out the following morning we were billed extra for the children’s dinners (approx. £40). We did explain to the reception staff that we had asked the waitress at dinner and that she had told that their meals were included. The reception staff argued that although this was a mistake by their staff… we were liable and would still have to pay in full. So, not only was it misleading but we also got the pleasure of paying for their mistake! The staff were quite sharp with us and this has left us extremely disappointed with their customer service.Also, on the first day we met friends for lunch in the hotel bistro and between the six of us spent quite a substantial amount of money on food and drinks over a four hour period. The service was poor. After we’d eaten lunch our plates were not cleared away, so we moved them onto an empty table beside us to make some space. Our glasses were also not cleared away after three rounds of drinks and we carried them to the bar to clear some space at our table. I should add… The bar area was fairly quiet - we were one of four tables that afternoon.We were on holiday, visiting the area from Ireland, our overall experience was less than satisfactory and based on this I could not recommend the Cambridge Belfry to future visitors. It was definitely not the four star experience we expected.

Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa
Amazing rooms.Spa is amazing with lovely staff.The guys in reception are professional pleasant to speak to.The guys in maintenance go above and beyond and are really handsome.The main manager is really great and very helpful.The location is very picturesque with a lovely lake out the back.The bar and restaurant staff are attentive and welcoming.Over all I would defiantly stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Really great service and staff were friendly. The pool was decent but there were so many kids for a spa weekend which is something to be aware of. Also the lady who I went with for the spa treatments made me uncomfortable and I felt was not as professional as she should have been. Overall, I would recommend the hotel but not the spa treatments.

Really enjoyed our two night stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Lost a few stars because our food was warm and not hot at dinner. The corridors and rooms could do with a refresh. The grounds were very well kept. The spa facilities are very good.Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend

Recently stayed here and for what they charge expected a premium experience. Check-in was smooth, staff were mostly nice, particularly Zack at the bar and restaurant who stood out. The room was large and parking was decent.However, some things were off. The room's (and corridors) paintwork and fixings were worn/tired or touched up poorly, the bathroom shower screen sealant was pretty grim, and there were no coat hangers or air conditioning at first. They brought a fan and hangers when I asked, however.Food-wise, it was a mixed bag. Breakfast was great (missed the sausages, though) and dinner tasted good, but the wait was too long and the prices too high. Plus, they started clearing tables (as in taking the tables away) while we were still eating.The bar was overpriced for what it was, even had to clean our own table on the Friday night. The spa wasn't great either, with kids around after the supposed cut-off and a foamy hot tub (which isn't meant to foam).Overall, I'd expect more for the money I'm spending.

Held a meeting here & very good all round. Easy to find. Everywhere totally accessible for disabled guest's. Parking spaces, toilets etc.Everywhere was clean.Staff efficient & friendlyFood was very goodAttendees who stayed the night before said rooms were very nice & comfortable as well as the restaurant being above average 'hotel' food and service.Communication leading up to event was spot on.Will book a return meeting date.
