Northumberlandia (Lady of the North)
A nice, well maintained place to go for a walk with kids, dogs or just on your own which is also free (but there is donation box at the entrance if you want to help towards maintenance). There is a big free carpark and I pleasant woodland walk before you reach the lady. The lady itself is not really visible to you from land but you can wall all around on solid paths or go off track and walk on the grass. The walk to the highest point is quite steep but on large wooden steps so not a difficult climb.

It is an excellent piece of landscaping. Well kept and loads of picnic tables and areas to chill out.

It’s a nice little walk, with various viewpoints, a wooded area and a cafe. It’s quite windy when we went, not sure if this is the norm or just due to the current weather. The site is well kept and a great visit, however there’s no real need for multiple visits, once you have been nothing much changes next time.

I had the pleasure of having a morning dog walk around this beautiful place! Free parking, with places for electric charging if needed. Well looked after pathways plenty of seating around the outside of the landscape before winding round to the face or main body area.It was lovely and quiet around 9/10am and started to pick up after then.Only issue no bins, the only bin I could remember seeing and using was the car park bin! So dog presents will need to be held on to until leaving.

Such a lovely place to visit. My family and I had a wonderful time walking around the Lady of the North and then the woods. Lots of great information about the area, it's creation and continuing projects. Lots of car parking. Best of all it was free. Definitely somewhere we will visit again!!

What a fantastic place to go for a walk! The views are beautiful and plenty of paths to walk around. It’s dog friendly and not too muddy. There is a cafe and toilet by the entrance and plenty of free parking. There is a woodland walk just by the entrance to the ‘lady’.

A beautiful sculpture, managed but at one with nature. Any signs of mining are long gone. The ascent isn't challenging. The 360 view reaches to the coast and the train line and roads are in the distance.
