Andy is a brilliant teacher and I thoroughly recommend him. I'd tried the usual youtube teachers but didn't know how to prioritise what to learn, I learned a load of music theory from another teacher but I couldn't do the most important thing: play some songs. Andy made learning fun and I was playing tracks I like in no time at all and with daily practice I hear myself improving every week. I wish I'd come to him sooner and not wasted years on books and online courses. He's very knowledgable about music theory, production and practice and knows how to spot just what I need to change when I'm struggling with something. He's very easy going, a laugh to hang out with and his lessons are excellent value for money. Go regularly, do the homework and Andy will improve your playing and understanding of the guitar.

Had a guitar for the best part of 20 years and never picked it up. Finally bit the bullet and starting learning with Andy in 2020. 3 years later and I’m in love with the process and becoming a proficient player.Andy is a lottery win. He is patient, knowledgeable and a real expert in the crafts of both teaching and playing. He has persevered with me, encouraging me all the way building my confidence.Layering sound theory with technique, he teaches me music I know and that I can play along with, cleverly building my skills week on week. Bonus in that he is also a super friendly, funny guy who I now call a friend.

I had been learning guitar for a few years via books and you tube, however, I reached a ceiling and really struggled to progress beyond the basics. I never wanted to be constrained by a guitar tutor, however, a friend introduced me to Andy to help improve my playing and it has been the best decision I have made. There has been noticeable improvements to my guitar skills thanks to Andy. He has given me achievable goals and kept me focused and as a result he has has helped me to learn to play the music I enjoy listening to. Been doing guitar lessons with Andy for about a year now and find Andy a very patient and understanding person with loads of knowledge behind him. He can play all types of music from rock to classical also Andy will move at your learning pace and practice one song at a time. Plus Andy has helped me pass my grade 3 in rockschool exam. I'd recommend Andy to anyone who is a beginner and advanced guitarist.

I started having guitar lessons with Andy around 2 years ago after teaching myself for 6 months, he is a really nice guy and an amazing teacher, I have improved massively since having lessons.Some of the songs we have worked through I would have never attempted on my own but Andy breaks everything down so its easier to understand and highlights how best to improve. I always look forward to the lessons and they really inspire me to keep practicing as much as I can for the next one.I would definitely recommend him!

Been having lessons for a number of years now. Relaxed setting but balanced with a professional approach to lessons. Have had a mixture of face to face and Skype lessons when necessary, both work well though I personally prefer face to face. Andy puts in the effort to get to know you are the lessons feel prepared, he takes notes so that he can tailor the next lesson to your abilities.I can’t recommend Andy enough.
