We recently had our beloved crazy little Spoodle Delilah sent by referral by our vet after rupturing her cruciate ligament, these totally amazing and beautiful people at Hamilton Specialist Referrals carried out Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy TPLO. My dog was referred to Hamilton's because of a hip injury.3 months after her hip replacement, she's a new dog.The service and care was amazing all the way through, everyone from the vets, the physios and the reception team were great, especially as the COVID regs changed constantly so they were adapting to new ways of working as well as a new building in the 3 months we were regular visitors.It isn't cheap, vets aren't! But they were very speedy on insurance forms so what could be claimed back was promptly sorted at their end.Thanks Andy, Letty and all for taking such good care of Meg.

Our Bulldog was struggling with fits and we were referred on a Sunday here as a last resort. We knew it was bad but you have to try everything don’t you. This team was amazing. The reception staff were so lovely (I left the consultation in tears and they were there with tissues). A history was taken and our dog was treated kindly as were we. The neurologist was quick to perform the scan and was considerate and kind. It was an awful situation but this team made it a little better by being compassionate, professional and quick

Andy, Kenny and Amber were the stand out team I dealt with at Hamilton - Andy primarily was looking after my dog and the care, consideration and communication I received was superb. We had a bumpy ride and some bad luck along the way but they went out of their way on each occasion to ensure any hiccups were sorted. We were referred here after our cat Mac had dislocated his hip after a bad fall. My partner and I were beside ourselves with worry and David instantly made us feel calm and reassured. Mac is now bouncing around like his hip has been replaced with a spring! All the staff are so lovely with Mac and fuss over him when we bring him for his check ups.We are really grateful to you all!Thank you

My dog Mabel was referred here after she was suddenly unable to use her back legs.Hamilton's took the referral and immediately performed an MRI followed by surgery for her slipped disc.They were incredibly fast acting and kept us updated throughout the process. Mabel is now home and recovering well.Yes, they are expensive, but she needed what was done and in my opinion it was completely worth it.

We had been referred here by our local vet as our dog broke her front left paw in April. Since the 1st visit they have been fantastic. They have been very kind and helpful. Dr. Sajik has been very professional, he went through all our options explaining us all that they could do. At the end our dog needed an arthrodesis (fusion of the carpal bones with a metal plate ). we were very worried about the entire thing as it was not sure the success of the operation given the injury of our dog. Today, 5 months after the operation, I can definitely say that they all did a great job, especially Dr Sajik. Our dog is now able to run and play again and most of the time we can't even see that she has a small limp.We are really grateful to the entire team.

We were referred to Hamiltons when our cat was hit by a car and suffered a pelvic fracture and tail injury. All of the staff have been amazing; Cuddles was initially treated by Mike Farrell, who performed his complicated fracture repair. Mike was absolutely lovely, very reassuring and kept in touch about what was happening.Mike left the practice 2 days after Cuddles's surgery and Cuddles was discharged by Barbara who had also been involved in his care. She carefully explained his surgical procedure and aftercare as well as making sure we had appropriate prescribed medication to go home with.Follow-ups have been with vet David Sajik and he's been so wonderful. Cuddles has had a small infection in his healing wound but I have felt so reassured that antibiotics will sort this out (it's almost healed now).Obviously the specialist surgery isn't cheap, but I do wonder whether people realise the overheads and huge amount of training etc that go into becoming a specialist vet and running a hospital. I saw someone complaining that they'd had to pay for an MRI which showed that nothing was wrong. The MRI doesn't magically become free if there's nothing to treat - personally I'd be massively grateful if my pet didn't need treatment! But I digress.It was lovely to be able to get updates and photos when Cuddles was an inpatient and the messages were lovely because everyone seemed to fall in love with Cuddles!Thank you :)

Our dog Nellie was referred here after she suddenly started having seizures. The staff here were very welcoming and helpful. Considering the state we were in around our per being so unwell, everything was explained to us in a professional and understanding way so we knew exactly what was going on. She spent 3 days with them and managed to get her seizures to stop. She's been at home now for 5 days and hasn't had a seizure. Couldn't ask for a better place to take my dog, thank you Hamilton's!
