Decent builders merchants, but disorganised with click and collect as they messed up my order and wasted lots of time. Otherwise a convenient place to get lots of materials. Not the cheapest place though.

I needed to source a specific size of coping stones & a water based, overpaint able exterior wood filler. Staff at Kingston's branch could not have been more helpful - checking with manufacturers exact content/ suitability of wood fillers & selecting coping stones and carrying out to my vehicle. I find all of their staff friendly and helpful. Price wise, they operate a customer loyalty scheme where you get from 5 to 20% discount depending on your annual spend with them. They're dog friendly too, which is great as I couldn't leave mine in the van on a hot day.

Called the branch as I was frantically looking for supplies during COVID while there were national stock issues. Lucky to have had Roy Collins pick up - he understood the difficulty I was having, immediately agreed to source supplies and called me back 5mins later - went to branch and picked it up the next morning. Fantastic customer experience with excellent communication from Roy. Greatly appreciated. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Very kind and helpful! An employee there contacted his colleague to help me carry a bag of small stones I needed for drainage of my window boxes. The slim young man effortlessly picked up the very heavy bag, carried it all the way to the till and even packed it for me in the small suitcase I’d taken with me to wheel them home in! Amazing service. Thank you so much!

I like Selco and I like the staff but I have to downgrade my star rating because, if you walk into the store with a bag like a rucksack, they make you put it in a locker and give you the key. I always cycle so I can't just leave my bag in the van. So this is very irritating, especially when you just want to pop in briefly. No other store makes you do this. If Selco is that worried about shoplifting perhaps the security guards could keep an eye on suspicious people with bags rather than annoying the customers every time. Also where is your customer bicycle parking Selco?

Since joining Selco I have been so impressed by how efficient and helpful your business is. Also the customer service at your Kingston store is the best I have ever experienced. The manager and his staff are first rate and should get a massive pat on the back.

They have a lot of stuff i use. They want you to have a trade card but don't offer a discount unless you are buying a load of stuff, unlike Wicks. Delivery available and local to me. No problem with returns.

I've closed my account. I did a click and collect order, and turned up after the ONE HOUR to collect, only to find that they hadn't started to pick the order AND they didn't have any of the timber as part of the order! This is not the first time this has happened either! In one word...USELESS.
