Boots Opticians Oxford - Cornmarket Street

The arm of my prescription sunglasses came off unexpectedly just before going on holiday. I took them in to see if they could be fixed, Helen said to leave them there and return in an hour. I came back to find they had found a spare frame to transfer the lenses to, really great service from Helen and the optometrist - I didn't catch his name. Thanks again.

I started using Boots optician because I am impressed by how professional everyone is.David and John, the two opticians are very knowledgeable and good with their jobs. Fast and accurate.Paul, the dispensing optician, is very helpful and friendly. I had to go back and forth a couple times to have my frame adjusted, Paul was always patient and helpful!Previously, I had been using Specsavers. I have always had difficulty finding a fram that fits me well. With them, my personal experience is that once you have paid for a frame, you are stuck with it! Whereas with Boots, there is an exchange period and the staff did tell me that before purchase!I am happy with an optician store for once.

I wanted say a big thank you to the Boots Optician team in Oxford.I was visiting for a wedding - and had an incident where by I was unable to remove a contact lense which started to infect my right eye) which needed to be professionally removed before travelling home to London.I was in a lot of pain, and had visited two opticians in the area who refused to make time to help.The Boots opticians team in Oxford we're so helpful, Holly the store assistance and John Randle the optician who kindly helped remove and clean my eye. The service was brilliant and they we're both kind and professional in helping me.

I've never used Boots opticians, but decided to use them after such poor service from the other well known Vision E. & Spec S.Amazing customer service. The optician that examined me was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The lady, Helen, that then saw to the glasses etc was great. Knew exactly what she was doing and she did it very very well. I couldn't be happier with the service I got today. Will never go anywhere else.

The optician carrying out my eye test was warm and professional, and very clear in outlining my choices going forward. The main recommendation was to consider buying a set of occupational glasses - two colleagues then talked me through the options regarding lenses if I decided to go down this route. After the appointment, I checked my new prescription against my last one (issued a year ago) and was struck at the significant difference in reading / computer additions, which on first glance suggested my eyesight had significantly improved. I went back in the following day to check my understanding of the prescriptions - the optician I saw was patient and thorough, and took strength readings of all three pairs of glasses I currently use, in order to help me fully understand my new prescription and the first optician's recommendation. Excellent service all round.

Horrendous service. Came in 3 weeks ago to book an eye test. Came today and paid for parking and changed other meeting to then be told that an eye test wasn't booked in and it was for dispensing frames. I told the original person that I needed an eye test and I needed an appointment. WHY would they have misunderstood? Won't be returning to Boots as unhelpful on both occasions.

I was greeted at reception and asked to take a seat. After a while I was tested on various machines and was treated with utmost courtesy . I had to wait for the optician and when seen he was very thorough and efficient. All in all it went well.

Seen fairly promptly, not too much waiting around. Friendly and efficient service. All the latest equipment!

In my experience the staff are always attentive, professional and considerate - without exception.

I gave that score because I always get excellent advice from David Jamieson and yesterday from Helen when measuring me for new glasses. Also from Sabrina who helped me choose.
