Amazing place, a real gem. Triple cooked chips to die for. All the food is tasty, good value and served with panache. Great beer, great service, can't recommend highly enough.

The staff seem welcoming enough and the pub has a nice local feel. Was a shame when we went that the football game was not being shown that we wanted although it is the landlords choice and may have appealed moreso to the rest of the customers. The bar area is slightly small but the products on offer have a pleasant taste.

My family regularly visits this Pub and I reccomend it for gatherings! It has a classical pub atmosphere, a jukebox for playing music and a great selection of drinks. It even has a nice garden area for sunny days! I highly recommend this Pub!

Of course it depends on what you want from a pub, but for us good beer, sports TV, beer garden for kids, friendly landlord and team, even a bbq over the weekend. Suits us.

Met up with friends and got a takeaway to eat while we were there. The staff were really helpful and offered us cutlery. They only lost one star as they were out of haze cider for the 2nd time I've been in there, which is my favourite drink.

This pub is a perfect hideaway from the city centre bustle on a weekend. They're dog friendly (with two adorable Boxers of their own that are friendly and playful) and, perhaps a bonus for this over many others, is that you can order a takeaway to the pub (or bring your own) and eat in the pub with a pint. They even provide cutlery! Even when busy, the staff are attentive and friendly, and there's no outsider" feel - it's made to feel very welcome to anyone
