It’s the second time the woman working here has been unnecessarily rude. The first time she was worse, I assumed she was having a bad day then but I realise now it’s always a bad day with her. I won’t visit this branch again. Extremely poor customer service.

Absolute darling on the photo department on Cardiff road, above and beyond

Very wide range of cards, balloons and other gift paraphernalia. Friendly service. Amazingly busy. I bought a life-size Avenger helium balloon and staff were very helpful with managing this once filled with helium.

Poor customer service. Store staff are not nice at all. Very unprofessional. Recently I took a passport size picture I had difficulties uploading on the form then next day I took it to the shop but lady called Sarah at MAX asked me to pay for another 12 pounds. I requested her to help me but She did not listen to me at all. I was very disappointed. They do not have any customer service skills at all. I just wasted my money there.

Visited store on 12 April to obtain passport photos and noted that I could complete the application in store . Not being confident using on line processes decided to proceed along with my wife .Application process completed by the member of staff who whilst stating that this would be her first time using the process the application was actioned without any issues .Whilst I was advised that the new passports could take up to 10 weeks ( as stated by the passport office web site) to arrive my wife’s was received in 4 working days and mine was 8 .Great service and highly recommended.

Had an old super 8 reel put onto dvd no problems

Manager called Deffyd who is a racist guy shouldn't be working at your photo shop, who doesn't treat his customer fair . As i came there today 17:35 to take a passport size photo for myself today and Deffyd said they are not taking any more passport size photo for the today anymore as they are finishing for the day. I thought fair enough, but there was a customer behind me as well who was also waiting a mother and a daughter and when i start to move away i just overheard the next customer asking Deffyd to take a passport size photo and was given priority. So what about my priority i asked and he had no answer for that. And then i asked him to give his manager number and he was not at all willing to give his managers number or even email address. And he gave me head office number which is not even reachable, turn out to be wrong number. If i was you won't go again. And who ever employed Deffyd need to do a performance manage. I am very disgusted and disappointed how i was treated. Won't recommend to this branch Max Spielmann at Harlech retail park, Newport NP20 3BA

I had a very disappointing experience today at Max Spielmann in Tesco, Harlech Park, Cardiff Road, Newport. I need a passport photo to renew my passport. I arrived at Max Spielmann just before 14.15 having left the person I care for and found it closed with a note saying it would reopen at 14.45. I decided to wait and the person responsible returned promptly at 14.45. He told me his camera was locked in the safe and he was waiting for someone to come to open the safe so the passport photo service was not available. A simple sign saying that the passport photo service was not currently available would have saved me valuable time. I will think twice before going to that Max Spielmann again.
