Great staff and quality work

We happen to live in an apartment block managed by Rendall & Rittner unfortunately. They are in agreement with Edmund's to service our heating and hot water. Just before winter, Edmund's carried out maintenance work within the central boiler room. Following this works our hot water and heating stopped overnight. Following months (winter months!) we've been trying to resolve this issue, heating our water via additional electricity charge in the meantime. During this period Edmund's visited our flat and led us to believe that the problem is within our flat. They quoted us for works costing over thousand pounds! We carried out these works and replaced all the valves within our flat. Still we had no hot water. We then had two different plumbers visit out flat, they both said that the problem is with the overall system which had air trapped in it. They predicted that most likely the system was not aired out completely following works in the boilers/pumps. That's when the coin dropped for us. All these months we were suffering because due diligence was not applied following the works within the main system months ago. They turned the pumps back on without clearing the air trapped within the system. Our flat is towards the top of the building and all the air left in the system raised to block our hot water for months. In the midst of cost-of-living crisis this is one mean, negligent blow from a seemingly reputable company.
