Golden City Chinese Takeaway

We only moved to Hartlepool yesterday. We are trying really hard to get unpacked. Couldn't be bothered to cook so looked up a takeaway online. Really glad we chose this one. Huge portions, hot, delicious. And the delivery driver was lovely!

Lovely chinese. Ordered the beef chow mein, the beef was very nice, falls apart in the mouth. Definitely recommend this chinese. Top quality.

Just ordered for the first time yes it is easy the best Chinese food in the town we ordered house special fried rice and a large munchie box everything about it was top notch highly recommended from the Smith family.Edited forgot to say portions are huge so very good value for a large family like mine

I've never been to Golden Chinese Takeaway before, but I'm glad I finally gave it a try. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious, and the prawn crackers were the best I've ever had.I ordered the king Hong style sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly and were juicy and flavorful. The prawn crackers were huge and crispy, and they were served with a delicious dipping sauce.I also ordered a side of spring rolls. The spring rolls were fresh and flavorful, and they were served with a sweet and sour sauce.I would definitely recommend Golden Chinese Takeaway to anyone looking for a great Chinese takeaway in Hartlepool. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable.Just be careful not to drop your chopsticks

First time we had tried this takeaway, after recommendation from my neice. Girl who took order for collection could not have been more friendly and helpful, 10 out of 10 for her customer service.Food was fresh and very tasty, plenty of it and piping hot. Will certainly be visiting again. You should be proud if your service and customer care.Will recommend to others.

Food is always delivered hot. Big portions. Never had a bad meal.

UPDATE: 02.04.23:I've ordered from here about three times since my original review and the service and food are consistently excellent, even on a Saturday when it's busy. I'm honestly in shock when it comes to this place. I really enjoy Chinese and far East Asian food, but nothing spicy. I had no idea this place was here, I'd never heard of it.Honestly I've been happy with the places I've been ordering from, until tonight. Golden City absolutely blows them all out of the water and honestly, it's been a real eye opener in terms of portion sizes - they're huge! The quality is much better here too.I called the order in and the lady was very helpful and friendly.The pricing is in line with other Chinese take away stores, but the portions and the quality are far superior.We were warned it would be over an hour due to it being busy, but it arrived piping hot in 50 minutes, on a Saturday!I ordered the salt and pepper chicken. It was the most beautiful salt and pepper I've ever tasted, the chicken was high quality and not the rubbery stuff you sometimes get. The shredded crispy chicken in Peking sauce was absolutely divine!The chips were the best I've had from a take away. The outsides were lovely and crispy, and fluffy inside.My parents really enjoyed their noodles and their chicken and char siu egg fried rice.The food and service were both absolutely fantastic. The portions here are extremely generous. Quick delivery piping hot. Munch box was unbelievable jeffff. Prawn toast were best I had proper thick and banging. Curry sauce spot on. Chips perfect. First time ordered so il definitely be back
