JA Performing Arts

My daughter started JA doing ballet and now she does Tap/Jazz, Hip Hop, musical theatre and Acro as well.She has grown so much in confidence as she was often shy and overwhelmed when she started. Miss Gemma and Miss Shakia are very patient and have given her great support and encouragement, that she now happily goes in with a big smile on her face and showing the cheeky side I get see at home.She loves everything about performing especially the shows, the costumes, the hair and even being allowed to wear make-up! She Is in her element.Her favourite is genre is ballet. She often watches the show DVD and points out who she wants to be able to dance like when she is older.My daughter also attended the summer workshop last year and loved every minute of it she learnt extra skills and could spend some extra time with her friends.I am very happy with JA, they have been very helpful, understanding and so encouraging for my daughter. I am so glad my she has found somewhere she enjoys and loves going to.

As a 17 year old boy with no dance experience, starting ballet and hip hop classes was very daunting. Everyone at JA (the staff and other students) couldn’t have been more inclusive and supporting! I feel very comfortable there thanks to all of the wonderful people!!

Absolutely amazing dance school! I honestly can't praise them enough.My 6 year old son & 4 year old daughter go to JA Performing Arts. They attend the minis hip hop class. They go in every week super excited & come out with the biggest smiles. Lovely to see how much their confidence grows with every week. They love showing me & their Daddy new dance skills they have learned each week. Each child attending the class is given so much support. I honestly can’t recommend this dance school enough. The class leaves all children inspired and super motivated with the feeling that they can achieve anything if they work hard. Most importantly they come out buzzing, so happy and looking forward to the next class. My kids would go everyday if they could.

My 13 year old daughter attended a free dance trial today. We were instantly made to feel very welcome. My daughter loved every minute of her dance class, with great choreography. We can't wait to get her signed up! Thanks again ❤️

Omg I can’t thank JA performers enough, at first I wanted to trail this company out to help my daughter build her confidence, she is dyslexic so at school has been hard. Her first trial Miss Gemma was amazing, Hollie warmed to her straight away and the others in the class were just lovely and welcoming, Miss Gemma gave Hollie a buddy and she was lovely too, after her first class she came out absolutely buzzing and couldn’t wait till the next one, after a few months they done the best show I’ve seen and Hollie was buzzing! I can’t thank them enough, watching her in the show and watching her confidence grow and loving every money was beautiful and emotional to watch! Can’t thank Miss Gemma and everyone who makes it work enough! Amazing xxxxx

My daughter is in her fifth year of dancing with JA and I have only positive things to say about her experience. She takes classes in ballet, modern, jazz tech, tap and hip hop and is taught by the fabulous Miss Gemma. If I’d written this a few years ago the first thing I’d comment on is how Miss Gemma has helped my daughter regain her confidence after some tricky times at gymnastics. Now I’m struggling to know where to start… JA really feels like a family… the children support and encourage each other and Miss Gemma keeps an eye on them all, nurturing friendships between the children and passing on her wisdom. For me that’s such an added bonus of my daughter dancing with JA. The teaching is brilliant, with everyone encouraged to be the best they can be. Miss Gemma gives the right amount of push and encouragement and combines this with great technical teaching and exciting choreography. All the behind the scenes stuff runs smoothly thanks to Miss Claire and there’s a brilliant Facebook group that students, parents and carers can join which ensures there’s really good communication about what’s happening.

My daughter started ballet at J A Performing Arts when she was 3. She also went on to do tap, and point and absolutely loved it. She did many shows and made some amazing friends and loved all her teachers, she was sad when she left at 18.My granddaughter is in love with it just as much now. She has also been doing ballet since she was 3 and is about to take part in her 2nd show which she cannot wait for.I cannot recommend JA enough, it’s a family run school which cares about all their pupils and make you feel part of the family. My granddaughter always has a massive smile on her face when she comes out of her lesson, telling me all about it and showing me what they had been taught and even pirouetting to the car which always makes me smile.

Fantastic dance school !I train the JA Performing Arts and take adult ballet three times a week. The coaching is superb and the attention given to each dancer is amazing.The classes are suitable for all levels and each class is tailored brilliantly to the pupils ability.I can’t recommend this dance school enough and the classes leave everyone inspired, motivated and most importantly happy and looking forward to the next class.
