Speedwell Works Apartments

The letting agents for the Speedwell Works apartments were great. Very helpful and prompt at responding/ dealing with any issues. Overall, great experience letting with them.

Bad public care

I have really enjoyed living in this flat, its super close to Sheffield Hallams city campus, literally a 5 minute walk away. The studio flats are big and spacious and pretty cheap, I know people who are living in flat shares who pay more than me to live alone. The staff are super helpful, always replying to my emails and the staff in the office are helpful too.It has a quite atmosphere, so if you are a party person who wants to have friends over till the early morning, this probably isn't the place for you. If you are an introvert who wants a cheap place to live on your own, this is a great option.The only downsides are that you have to pay to do your laundry (£3.50 for washing, £1 for drying), the bed is a metal frame so its noisy (if you get my drift) and that it gets insanely hot during summer, you will need a fan or two to keep cool. A plus side to the heat thing is that you will rarely if ever need to put the heating on in the winter, I've been here almost 2 years and the heating has never been turned on.I can highly recommend it, and hopefully after my placement is finished in London I will try to move back here.

Lived here for a year and had such a good experience! Everything is really well maintained and on the one occasion when my hot water stopped working they sent someone out every day until it was fixed! My deposit was returned an hour after I handed my keys back!Also, the flats are really soundproof so you can’t really hear your neighbours which is a bonus :) really recommend
