Was told I would get a call from a psychiatrist over four weeks ago regarding a medicine review, still haven't heard anything! Utterly disgraceful! Not sure if the message wasn't passed on or if the psychiatrist can't be bothered, but the NHS is dying thanks to 13 years of Tory rule. Can't believe people would still vote for this corrupt lot, half of whom should be in prison!

When you phone in there is a very long message before you can even press the corresponding number for who you want to speak to. Then you are in a queue. You can only e-consult 9-12. Today, I sent an e-consult with concise information about my condition. I have now received an email asking me to send another one with the information I have already provided. Also, the clinician wishes to see me in 32 days time. I will likely be better by then. Unbelievable!

I think they are over worked and under appreciated at The Aspen medical practice. I just called at a very busy time and was immediately informed that there were staff off due to sickness and to call back if it wasn’t urgent. I waited because I have a recurring problem that gives me a lot of pain. Yes I had to wait a while (I have waited much longer in the past) Dr Mohammed called me back very quickly and sent my prescription through to the pharmacy. If I’d phoned earlier in the day (or my pharmacy was closer) I could have picked it up right away. I’m in a lot of pain and impressed that I am getting the help I need so quickly. When 3 surgeries joined together it was a challenge, then Brexit and Covid happened. I think they have done extremely well to cope with all of this. I think most people just put reviews up when things go wrong for them but I think you should give credit where it is due and most of the time they do a great job.

Took me 12 months to get an appointment, then not to be seen by a experienced doctor, in pain daily, wake up in the middle of night in distress, doctors advise was self referral for physio, or do some physio from you tube videos, have not had my diabetic review since pre Covid, this a super surgery, always excuses that they short staffed, easier & faster to go A&E and get yourself seen to by them. Appointment to for diabetic review 19/09/2023 2.50pm had to leave work early to get to appointment, was 4mins late, refused to book me in, lost my slot, but when your sat in waiting area 30 mins to see doctors that perfectly acceptable.

Worst surgery in Gloucester for trying to get through on the phone. Caller 19 after 90 minutes on the phone. No wonder A&E is so busy because people can't get through to their Dr when they need them.

Always the same lengthy wait of over an hour on the phone with the excuse of staff sickness and shortage. I have given up calling today after half an hour wait and still over 30 (who knows how many more) in front. I work in a noisy warehouse so I cannot hear my phone, therefore a callback is useless to me and I have missed two callbacks today even though I specified to contact me via email as my preference. I missed a callback appointment in the past and had to wait a month for a re-appointment. The days of calling and seeing a GP are long gone.

Barnwood Medical practice were fantastic right up until they merged with three other surgeries and became aspen medical centre. Then I couldn’t get appointments for months and they can’t handle a simple repeat prescription request which resulted in me running out of one of my more serious medications which made me very unwell. It still wasn’t with me over two weeks after I’d ordered them. I also couldn’t get an asthma review for two years because they had absolutely no appointments at all. I’d book an appointment with the nurse or doctor to fit in with my working hours and the day before they would say we had to change it and would book it when I’m working and therefore couldn’t go. Absolutely terrible experience.

Tuesday 27/06/2023 i visited aspen center to see respiratory nurse. Spent 30 minutes with her she was fine. She went to speak with a doctor and the pharmacy. She said the pharmacy would ring me today 28/06/2023 stating who would ring. Would ring from 08.30 could not give me a time. Waited in all day no one phoned a complete day wasted if you are a few minutes late for an appointment they will not see you but are happy to keep you waiting all day. They should give you a one or two hour slot, won't even say am/pm. This is how they treat patients no wonder the rating is only 2. 3. Probably blame covid.

First GP I’ve had in Gloucester. Freshly out of hospital and the hospital sent me to the GP to sort a part of my sick note out. I was told that they can’t sort these things out and sent back to hospital where the nurse herself laughed at the fact it was the GPs job to sort it out and they simply couldn’t be bothered. The young receptionist I spoke to barely heard me and my partner out, just seemed outright rude. Never got back to me about my repeat prescription for medication I have an emergency card for due to my condition, had to call in and wait in queues for hours to get through from 2 phones when my medication was running out.
