Beautiful on the outside. Beautiful scenery and location. Tired on the inside but mostly in keeping with old farmers cottage. Appreciated open fire.

This cottage is well situated in a quiet spot with lovely views across the Coquet valley and over Rothbury. We have been going to this area for many years and have had some great holidays with excellent accommodation in this area. This cottage is generally well equipped and cleanly presented with good attention to detail. A couple of issues: It might be a personal taste thing but we didn't find the main bed to be very comfortable. There was another problem for us, which I accept will not be an issue for most customers, but I feel should be more clearly presented in advance. My wife suffers from arthritis so we had deliberately chosen this cottage as it appeared to have relatively easy access with only a few steps to the main door. A picture on the web site shows the front door with just seven steps and is titled approach". We were therefore disappointed on arrival to find a further steep set of awkward loose stone steps up from the car park which are not mentioned in the preview. Level access is available from another door but stopping outside that that can be awkward because of the narrow lane outside. As I say

Sadly, our recent stay via this company at Haveli wasn’t what we had expected -The property was uncomfortably furnished downstairs, with an inefficient shower and a blood stain on one of the duvet covers! the whole property could have done with a good clean - to make it smell fresh - the log burner clearly hadn’t been cleaned after the last occupants.The company has not shown much consideration to my complaint- ( nothing from the owners at all I might add) in fact, after their initial email response - I’ve heard nothing… We left the property a day early as it was more comfortable to be at home- such a shame what waste of money -

Very sad to have our accommodation cancelled 5 months after booking. Annoyed to have been asked to pay the full amount just 5 days before it was cancelled, when they had known for some time that there were issues, as they were waiting for an insurance payout. Why ask me to still pay the full balance when I could have used that to secure a deposit on replacement accommodation? Oh yes, because then I can't book another holiday and more likely to choose one of the 'alternatives' offered (5 offered, all of them not even in the same area as what I had booked!) Now I've got to try to book a replacement at short notice, and almost everything is already booked. Yes things sometimes go wrong, but this should have been managed much more professionally. I feel really let down and messed around completely unnecessarily. I will not book with this company again.

Stayed at Infinity, Freathy Hill Cornwall July 2023. Rated 5*Poor standard of cleaning, uncomfortable bed and sofa and cramped. Previous guests recycling not taken away. Hardly any space to unpack and store own belongings. Very poor value for money and definitely not 5*. 16 steps down to accommodation, no handrail, difficult with luggage. Very steep path down to beach which should not be attempted by someone with even minor impairment in mobility. Posted this review as the company only post 4-5 star reviews and did not respond to ours.

Their cancellation policy is clear, but they mis-sell you the cancellation insurance to make it sound reasonable. That insurance isn’t worth the paper it’s written on! Extremely quick to take a cancellation, and very unhelpful when you have an issue. I’d avoid them like the plague.

Use Hoseasons or book direct if you can. If I could leave 0 stars for this company, I would. Booked" cottage online and came up wait for confirmation. Several days later

We stayed in Helm Kent for a week in May. The apartment style cottage is in an ideal location with it being around a 10min walk to the town where there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops. There are also lots of lovely walks around the cottage complex itself which we found perfect for an evening stoll.That aside we loved everything about our stay.

Had a fabulous time at the Keepers Hideaway. The cottage is beautifully furnished and absolutely immaculate, very well equipped. The hosts made us very welcome, with fresh flowers, cake and wine left for us, which was really appreciated. The setting is lovely, walking straight out of the door into the Northumberland countryside. And it’s wonderfully quiet.There are plenty of places to visit nearby as well if you want. We walked and read and relaxed. Just what we wanted.We would love to come back. Our dogs had a fabulous time too.
