Claydon Christmas Tree Farm

Regrettably Claydon Christmas Tree Farm in 2018 has let it's standards slip. In 2016 and 2017 it was superb with a well stocked shop, live animals including small donkey, chicken, pigs and reindeers, tea shop, live brass band and amusements for the kids. It was more than a place to grab a tree. Now in 2018 it looks a pale comparison, there are reindeer, and the ride on tractors enclosure for the kids, but that was it. The barn is there but baron, bereft of any quality merchandise, mainly empty tables.Thankfully the trees appear to have retained the good quality of previous years. But gone is the theatre that made it an experience, a memorable visit for the kids and worthy of travelling the extra mile to. You may as well collect a tree from the garden centre or elsewhere.Doubt we will be getting our Christmas tree here in 2019 if they don't make the effort to revert to how good it used to be.

We turned up on 20th December to a cavernous barn. Stepping in from the rain we found a handful of cheerful looking reindeer in amongst some bales of hay. In the middle of the barn were four trees each roughly the size of a small child. At the far end of the barn was a pair drinking tea who I assume were staff, but since they didn't respond or talk to us who knows? A minute later our experience ended and we departed towards a more engaging retailer.

Great place to take the kids to pick your Christmas tree. Reindeer, turkey's calves, cafe, shop & children's play area with pedal cars, tractors etc. Good quality trees which hardly dropped any needles. Great family business with a great family atmosphere.

Great little place, not too over commercialised, very festive with shop, hot drinks grotto and play area and animal for the kids. Niece way to kick off the festive season. Oh and good trees too!

Fantastic visit with small children. Still trees for sale. They had gorgeous reindeer, pigs, donkeys and calf. Beautifully decorated bar area, and extensive gift shop and an area for children to play! Will certainly be returning.

A great alternative to the shopping mall Santa experience. There's reindeer, mini pedal tractors, arts and crafts, a small gift shop, and reasonably priced refreshments, all protected from the elements under a barn roof.We'll be visiting again next year.

We are spending the evening taking down our tree we bought from here on 10th Dec, absolutely gutting. I did all the right things, cut a few inches off the trunk, kept it watered in a bucket for a couple of days but it started shedding needles from the day we brought it in and now the ends of the branches are bare. I will now be spending my Saturday trying to find a replacement, Merry Christmas Claydon Christmas Tree Farm!

Kids loved seeing the reindeer and playing on the toy tractors. Indoor Christmas shop has lots of nice decorations and small gifts. You can get a coffee and a snack while the kids play. The is also Santas grotto and Christmas crafts for the kids to do. Lots of different size trees to choose from too. Nice way to spend a few hours.

We have visited Claydon Christmas Tree Farm every year since it was formed, and love our annual trip to this lovely family run business! The kids love to see the reindeers, turkeys, spotty pigs and of course the big draw is a visit to Father Christmas (when he's visiting)! They also love the little sit-on tractors... free mince pies while they are tearing round...don't mind if we do! There are trees of all shapes and sizes and the Christmas shop is stocked with beautiful Christmas decorations - I can never resist a bauble or two or three! See you next year!
